I was Thamesbrook_Tiger but some odd reason I couldn't have it on here. Anyway Sutton tiger on board, loving this alternative. Old school fan, first game was in the FA Cup, Sat 03 Feb, 72/73 season, hooked from then on in. Happy memories of getting the train to bunkers Hill in my teens, 40p for the train and 40p to get in, My dad said it would be cheaper to get a season pass and that's been my pride and joy since 74/75 season. Even now, as a grumpy middle aged bloke, my season pass costs me ÃÆÃâÃâ ââ¬â¢ÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ãâ¦Ã¡ÃÆÃââââ¬à ¡ÃÆââ¬Å¡Ãâã1 a day and represents the best value object in my little world. For a quid a day, nothing else gives me so much pleasure / pain / joy / dissapointment / stress / euphoria and all points in between. I hate negative stuff about the team and the club, too much media and exposure these days. 3 promotions, a longer than forecast spell in the Premiership, a developing, building team in the Championship with proper economic stability on the table. Not a bad place to be in my book. Though i loved it in the promised land of the Premiership, I'm glad we're getting a chance to recoup and regroup. I think it’s great to be away from the unbelievable amount of press exposure and scrutiny that being a Premier league club attracts and self feeds on. It certainly is exciting to have United, Chelsea et al at the KC and be on the telly every week, but the fallout from a defeat or the micro-analysis of a draw, or fans trying to “out-stat” each other, drove me to distraction. It really is a circus, you never get a chance to re-group for the next game. It’s like the rabbit on the battery commercial, it just keeps going and going and going. After 30 odd years, for me it has always been about & will always be about, as the film title stated, When Saturday Comes. Greetings N606ers
I was called premierleaguetigers on 606 following our last promotion, but this turned out to be fairly short-sighted and i had to stick 'i saw the -' before it, I've kept that name on tis board, minus the dash as I've become known as this recently!
