is now upon us! Who do you think our first 3-5 signings will be. A lot of players contracts run out today so we could see some movement.

    Signings I would like to see in next two weeks;

    Bullard - Free
    Bothroyd - Free
    Upson - Free
    DJ Campbell - 1.25M
    Bassong - £3million

Surely we can afford these guys as transfer fees are low!

I suspect a few more ageing Italians - first up Sven's Nancy, to provide that much needed midfield steel.

Seriously - I'd be happy with those. I think its the wages, that are the sticking points rather than the transfer fees

    In order of priority:

    1. Bothroyd
    2. Bassong (unlikely)
    3. Bullard
    4. Campbell
    157. Upson

Tooting is right about the wages, disagree about the transfer fees, they've never liked to pay them.
But it will be alright, cos I'm joining the happy clappers.:)
The doom and gloom is making me ill.

What a beautiful to sign new players! The sun shines over the Steel City this morning and I was up earlier than normal to walk the dog and mull over the imminent signings. Just a personal list not based on anything concrete but I reckon -

DJ Campbell - I think we'll offer a job package having met Blackpool's trigger sum. I can see the bright lights of London beckoning him far more than Tesside
Bothroyd - Again a deal will be resurrected offering London based Prem football
Ridgewell - Underrated defender who chips in with goals, a Warnock type player all passion (the tache has gotta go though)
Bullard - When he was first mentioned I groaned but actually a fit Bullard is a good signing I think upon reflection. Got to pass the medical though
Some Italians - Inevitable however a marquee big name signing to appease Flav and generate some glamour & flog shirts abroad is no bad thing
A Spaniard - Why not? They have some of the best young players in the World right now and I reckon Flav will try and get another Parejo on loan again
Crouch - On loan with part wages met by the Spuds. A match made in robotic dancing heaven

Oh what a great few weeks this is going to be.

    Up the R's!

In my opinion i think the only realistic target in that list is the disc spinning Campell! All the rest will get offered more than 25k a week from other potential suitors! The demands by players and agents is absolutely disgusting nowadays! The big clubs just keep on upping weekly wages towards 200k per week and so on! 25k a year is a decent wage nevermind per week! This is why a club like QPR have to live within their means, short of a state of the art stadium and short of 20 odd thousand fans to fill it, will leave our beloved hoops as at best, just a team to make up the numbers!
I would love to see us survive on a minimum budget rather than spash silly fees and wages for mid table obscurity! If we can survive and establish ourselves as a premiership club then the revenue created will enable us to chase the better quality players season by season. Stoke for example, after a few years surviving are now offering 10million plus for players. Dont shoot me down lads, its only my head talking, my heart says break the bank pay 150k per week and spend 500million quid!

Bazzer surely there are far too many players desperate to get on MOTD mate, you've just got to sniff 'em out!

'Arry wants to sign Diego Forlan....where will Crunchie fit in? Yes exactly at LR with us paying £25k a week and Spuds topping him up. He stays in London and scores for fun...? Is that far fetched?

Ridgewell plays now in the CCC for a club where the owner has been charged with money laundering....must have taken a wage reduction...purse strings will be tightening and Alex Mc has done the off to Vanilla. Offer a nice little package and play in London in the Prem? Is that far fetched?

Some fading Italian star or an up and coming Spanish starlet on loan? Is that far fetched?

Think sideways young Barry....its all going on.

Good sense BB. If we do survive on a minimum budget it will be because the owners put faith in the manager's judgment and don't continually undermine him.

cannot see Boothroyd coming here, reckon he will be off to Everton.
    DJ Campbell..possibly
Ridgewell would be a decent signing
Bullard possibly 70 - 30 we will ge him.
    Upson...no thanks.

Bassong on a loan for 6 months would be good for both parties with maybe a transfer after?
    Naughton or Walker or both
If Carew hasn't got a club by start of seasn make offer.

Gary Taylor-Fletcher. He's proven himself last year, his wages wont be too high and not many other teams will be after him.

Dont think any scenario is far fetched when it involves our club!!
Personally, i think bigger clubs would pay a fee for Crouchie, givin Arry some much needed transfer money as hes apparantly been told to sell before buying. I like the Ridgewell lad and he would be a shrewd signing as for a fading Italian, well Pellicorri has just returned!!!! and a young Spaniard..........Parejo???!!!!!!
I believe Warnock will be wise and thoughtful with his limited budget. Lets just enjoy the premiership ride.

Al Capone, Don Carlo Gambino, John Gotti. Any arguments?...

I know two of them are dead and the other is banged up until he's 150, but Paladini will give them 20 year contracts and guaranteed selection...
