It wasn't necessarily my intention to open up a pristine, untouchable positivity thread (although it does seem quite refreshing) and I welcome the debate. If either of you wants to debunk my points then I'd happily pick them up on a separate thread. I'm you're quite aware that I've not been exactly heaping praise on the current situation but I'd happily try to defend my points (posting from the other side has actually been quite good for my psyche!) in a respectfully good natured way.
Nice post Matt, a little light in the gloom. We can also add to it that we are fortunate Newcastle appear to be an even bigger basket-case than last season and Burnley's luck with injuries from last season appears to have expired. Add to that we'll be level with the Hammers if we beat them!...
Well sorry Matt, I know everything about everything. Taxi for Harry and Tony. "I don't think we will win enough games and we will be relegated" Sorry, only kidding.
Thanks for being brave Matt, A positive QPR thread?....nah it cant last very long can it?? Dont think anyone should be making any judgements this early in the season as its a long way to go and we do have a decent team Let get behind them nd give them a decent chance for a change. REALLY want to beatthe Hammers next weekend. Itll cost me a meal if not !
Trouble is...........the Premier League season is relatively short. Another 4 games and we're over a quarter of the way through the season.
A post that is a joy to read for a change and most of the responses are positive and I thought we were dead and buried ( that's if you listen to the doom mongers)
Matt - you are a brave man and I sincerely thank you for this thread. Your arguments are sound and there is always "hope". I am truly impressed that you have found as many as 10 reasons! Should we win on Sunday, then the league table and our emotions will look much more positive and rosy, but should we lose, then we revert to even more doom and gloom and negativity, and unfortunately more pressure and potential lack of confidence on the team. As supporters we will always live in hope... but as they say, "it is the hope that kills you!" Roll on Sunday!
Hed(l)y Lamarr! Thank you, It's one of my favourite films, and for a moment I thought the quote was going to be missed! Mel Brooks's films can be hit and miss but that is his best.
Nice to see some positivity at the moment.....well done matt...... it's not easy but onwards and upwards!
