He's not a journalist but he's responsible for being a media mouth-piece for the fans by asking the questions on-air. Obviously he needs a degree of impartiality as he's employed by the beeb.
Would be interesting to see the HDM's stance when hull fc became hull sharks. There must have been a considerable backlash because it didn't last long. I remember the HDM and the Radio Humberside refusing to call fc 'Gateshead Thunder Trading as Hull Fc' which was their official title for quite some time. I wonder if the fc fans who objected to being called hull sharks were rubbished in the local rag ?
Surely someone on here, most probably Lambo, knows enough of the journos to ask them why they aren't asking the questions we all want answering? Why was he allowed to say we have been called Hull City tigers for 110years? Why did Ehab state there was no deal dependent on the name change and then Assam say there was? The local journos need taking to task over it and I nominate Lambo to do this as he seems to get replies from them on Twitter.
His job involves asking questions, doing interviews. OK he doesn't write stuff for us to read but he does more than read the words of others. He's not just a presenter but a reporter as well. Sometimes he doesn't ask the questions we'd like to hear asked.

They're supposed to be journalists not the Allam publicity machine. Not asking the questions because they're scared of upsetting him is a weak pathetic excuse and they should be taken to task for that
I e-mailed asking why no one there pulled Allam up on his it being our name for 110 years to Talksport when .burnsy was on and to Burnsy but got no reply.
The impression I get is that the editors/journos at HDM are patronising and treat their readership with contempt. The paper is 'dumbed down' because they think the average reader does not the have the intelligence to comprehend certain subjects/articles. It's a bag of ****e.
With a few notable exceptions, anyone with journalistic skills is shipped out to better places. Our lot are given an angle and sent to find a story to fit.

I must have imagined the demand to see City in the 80s and 90s; some sort of weird trip I suppose. For some reason I was under the impression that people, by and large, saw City as a joke and never went, when actually, we must have been turning away thousands at the gate to keep our attendances at a financially perilous low, just to appease the bucket rattling success hating CTWD types.
