WHY, WHY WHY does NA insist on having Wes in the starting 11????? The sooner he tweaks the starting 11 the better.
I don't think RVW would survive the rigors of the championship, he's not tough enough to cope with some of the lumps in this division.
The whole point of having a decent squad is rotation. Time to use the squad a bit more and Hoolahan a bit less.
Although that was a setback it needs to be seen in perspective.Getting nothing isn't so bad when compared to getting held to a draw,we are only a single point worse off.We are still a point better off than Forest over the two games. We just need Holty to do the business against Wolves tonight.
Just seen a more conclusive replay of that handball. What a horrific decision by the officials not to give a penalty. Should be demoted. Ultimately cost us the game.
Wes was one of our better players last night, thought he had an excellent game, he certainly wasn't the problem at all.
He threaded some decent passes through to the strikers and created chances- the strikers were not at the top of their game last night
I don't think anyone was either outstanding or poor last night. MOM was Charlton Keeper, who was outstanding. The Ref was incompetent rather than biased, and certainly seemed to be out of his depth. The subs we made were not really needed,no real time for any to be influential. The goal took a massive deflection. We were not awarded a dead cert penalty. We had 60%+ of possession. BUT WE STILL LOST. No ones fault, just life.move on to Saturday and Becchio's return
Just seen the second penalty shout on YouTube. Wow. Haven't seen many more clear cut than that! I know bringing it up isn't going to change the result, but I was convinced it was a penalty at the time and was sat much much further away than the ref was. I just can't think of one fathomable explanation as to why he wouldn't have given it.
i thought charlton played really well. ok, they parked the bus but i'll bet they're the best side we face defensively all season. every player knew their role and ok, they had a bit of luck - well, quite a lot of luck really - but defending stoutly is just as much a part of the game of football as goals or skill. had city gone to say derby, or forest and churned out a result in the same manner we'd all have been delighted that we had shown that kind of character and guts to dig in and not buckle under heavy pressure.
it does drive me potty when fans and managers complain about teams parking the bus. its all part of the game. if you're not good enough to break a team down then they deserve to take a share of the spoils. charlton got lucky last night thanks to a quite appalling display of officiating, a wrongly disallowed goal and a cruel deflection, but despite all that and our vast possession in and around their penalty area, we were effectively limited to penalty appeals rather than shots on target. they were very impressive defensively - you can see why they are still unbeaten. but they probably don't have the quality to unlock enough teams to threaten the top two this season. top six? maybe, but i would say unlikely for the same reason.
??? are you talking about me or supernorwich? i'm confused. edit. YOU are supernorwich aren't you! mind you, i'm still confused.
