I’m fairly patient (some may say too much so) but what the ****’s the script with Celtic fans just now? The Radio Snyde phone-in for the last few weeks has seen a raft of Tims calling in to criticise Deila. Even today’s Record has some of these bams criticising everything he does from team selection to his demeanour on the touchline during games or perish the thought, predicting we will win the SPFL title. One brain donor today even suggested Scepovic is the worst player ever to wear the Hoops.

    God give me ****ing strength.

The current consensus (amongst Bams) seems to be that his bedding in period is over, he’s had more than enough time and money and should basically be rolling over every team he’s faced. Will these people ever learn? Give the guy a break ffs, he’s been in the post for 4 months and whilst he’s hardly set the heather alight, apart from the shambles against Legia and Maribor he’s been no worse than Strachan or Lennon so far.

When did our fans turn into a bunch of ****ing pansies who believe the ****e they are fed in the Media?

    Rant over.

He does seem to have a bit of the John Barnes syndrome about him, I'm left scratching my head most of the time he does anything.

    I don't think he's up to it.

Thursday we play the best side we'll play all year, I'll see how he fairs in that game.

What about Red Bull Salzburg? They're the seeded team Tam. We got a decent result there although I admit we were no great shakes, but Rome was'nt built in a day, 4 months is hardly enough time to make a judgement is all i'm saying. And before some smart Alec says 5 months is, I feel we should give him at least a season or we will be back to square 1 with hardly a ball kicked in anger.

I cannae speak for bams but I'm OK with what he's doing broadly.

The substitutions do provide head-scratching and it's fair to criticise that.

In fairness, Broon coming back is the best thing that could've happened to the team - Saturday was messy but, without Broon, that Celtic midfield would've got stomped on by a pretty tough tackling St Mirren midfield.

I just wish that someone would sit between him and Collins on the bench - I have zero problem with Collins coaching the team but I have major issues if he's having a tactical input as he's proven with Hibs that he's a tactical clownshoe.

Agreed some of the Substitutions are a bit baffling but I put that down to experimentation, there's no way of really testing the players apart from playing them so I can live with that.

According to some of these Bams we should get shot of Ronny right away, personally I think most of these fannies don't have a clue and are simply repeating the utter ****e that people like Keevins and Guidi are peddling. "The job's too big for him".

Strange they think the job's too big for Deila but Super Ally is beyond criticism.

I'll give him time but can you honestly say we are making progress?

I think this team are better than red bull, it might come together yet, it wasn't until mid October that Lennons Texan in his second season starting to click so there is time but that doesn't mean there isn't concern.

I would have probably got us into the champs league but my cv was dismissed, would have done it for free too.

Do you expect to see progress in less than 4 months?

Of course. It shouldn't take that long to get your ideas across. The players just aren't responding to him.

I agree it does not take long to get ideas across but as Neil Lennon, Gordon Strachan, Martin O'Neil and many others have found out the players don't always do as they are told on the pitch. Tonev, Scepovic, Guidetti, Wakaso and Berget will all need time to settle and the club is going though a major reshuffle, these things and many other intangibles take time and I don't expect to see a miracle occur before my eyes in the space of a few months.

Plenty of other managers have spent fortunes on players and they too are struggling to cope, I don't see why Celtic should buck the trend and hit the ground running, and besides, the team are doing okay so far, all i'm saying is there is no need to hit the panic button as some are doing. It's not as if we are not making chances or looking bad in the SPFL, we've beaten our main rivals Aberdeen and Dundee Utd and we faced a Motherwell side with 10 at the back but still managed about 20 shots on goal, on any other day we would have beaten Inverness comfortably too and we beat a fancied Hearts side 3-0 in the league cup, a competition in which we have been abysmal for a few years, so I do see positives.

What worries me is that he still hasn't sorted the defence out. That needs to be his priority.

He's no choice but to play Ambrose at RB, the other right backs are injured. Apart from that I wouldn't change a thing, Denayer and VVD look a solid partnership...mostly. Gordon has been excellent and Izzy has at last come on to a game.

When we get Matthews and Lustic back we should be better, bearing in mind we've conceded 6 goals (no more than 1 goal conceded per game) we still have the 2nd best Defensive record in the SPFL.

If only Harry, if only. Ally needs more time according to some in the MSM, it's a pity they are unwilling to afford Ronny the same leeway.

I am happy to give him time but some of the performances have been a shambles. at the back we look woeful. the bomb scare at right back is a frightening sight and izzy is extremely suspect defensively. with no holding midfielder we are extremely exposed defensively.

    stokes playing wide left <doh>

I was however thinking about this seasons squad in comparison to last seasons and would have to say I think we have a better squad this year

ronny has been unlucky with injuries at RB with lustig, Matthews and fisher all injured at the same time.

in my opinion he needs to give Griffiths a run and perhaps think about a different formation which would give more cover as the 2 2 4 11 does not seem to be working so well

Are we actually discussing Celtic here? Not used to this. I'm off to Rangers Media for a bit.

The signings mostly can't be blamed on him - I believe he indicates which areas he needs strengthened and then gets players delivered from Lawwell and John Park. Fair enough we need defenders but we also needed a striker, and we still haven't replaced Wanyama or Ki from midfield (remember none of us were that upset at selling Ki because we had better options!!).

Anyway, bizarre subs and Ambrose in the team will get him the sack.
