Thanks Oddy, can't get the videos of Sporting Life on my tablet unfortunately. Must write a letter to Santa.

Boris it really is shocking eh! And they wonder why less people are using the shops...

I personally on a Saturday afternoon prefer to go into the shop as i like to have my coupons in person and tick off the goals as they come in but i could be losing out anything from £50 - £200 which is terrible.

Time will likely tell he didn't beat a great deal today but it was hard not to be impressed by the way he attacked those fences.

Probably a bit premature (not the first time!!) but would love them to give him a couple of runs before Christmas then put him away for the Spring festivals.

Just watched the video replay of Creepy's victory and that epitomised for me everything which is good about steeplechasing - a handsome, well-built chaser attacking his fences, jumping with zest and really coming up for his jockey when asked. Beautiful to watch. Considering it was his chasing debut, that was a fine effort and testament to the schooling Martin Keighley has been doing with him. Time wasn't too shabby either - just 7.5 seconds above standard, a fine effort for a novice chaser on debut with very little company up front. That has really whet my appetite for the coming months.

Chan, you can watch it on At The Races website. You have to sign up, but it is free.

A word to the wise regarding football coupons in the betting shops: they virtually never honour the prices now. The prices that you see in the Racing Post are nearly always the online prices these days.

The coupons are usually printed on Wednesday and delivered to the offices Thursday morning. If you go in on Saturday, the prices will have gone. I did a bet last week for two friends of mine. Each week they pick a team each and put on a £5 double. Swindon were 7/4 with Hills and Ladbrokes whilst Oldham were Evens at Ladbrokes and 5/6 at Hills, so I put their bet on in Ladbrokes. They got 8/5 Swindon and 4/5 Oldham – but at least they won! I cannot believe that there was any huge rush of money for Oldham to beat Scunthorpe, although I could see why Swindon looked overpriced at Barnsley.

The big firms generally offer better odds to online punters than office punters because they are all fighting for their market share. That said, I got 5/6 Arsenal last Saturday when Hills were 4/5 online according to the Racing Post.

City walking the tightrope after 2 games. Can't see them getting much at Roma.

Thanks – PSG have not lost a home European game in six or seven years. The last time they played Barca was in the knockout stages. They drew both matches and went out on away goals. I should have been greedy and doubled them with Chelsea...

It looks like they face a couple of six-pointers and need some help from Bayern. They ought to be able to go to Moscow and win but it is very hard to see them getting a result in Rome, so another Champions’ League campaign has probably come and gone.

Chelsea are the only English team I can see going anywhere in the competition this year. They should have had half a dozen in Lisbon tonight but the Sporting ‘keeper played a blinder and they missed some sitters.
