The Northants Massive will be going! Might be closer than SMS but really is the worst ground in the EPL! PS Don't risk the hot drinks in the ground! Gross
me & my lad will be travelling up from Upminster, Essexish. Time will be tight even if traffic is ok, so will have to keep fingers x'd.
FLT - you are probably the lucky one! I haven't seen an enjoyable game against Stoke since Gordon Banks and George Eastham played To be honest a dreadful ground (with the most dreadful tasting hot drinks I have ever tasted), dreadful tactics and dreadful thuggish team...why the hell am I going???????
Hasn't Mark Hughes got them playing better football these days? They were certainly pretty decent at St Mary's last season, although may still have a few thugs left over from the Pulis years. As always it depends on who they pick but this could be quite a test for our lovely boys. Not going to this one though, Stoke is the worst place I've ever been to (mind you, it was mid-winter and something like -10C at the time).
I know its only the end of October but im not good in the cold and so I think a trip to m&s is in order for some thermal underwear! there have been a couple of occasions where I felt like I was actually going to die of cold at football and those were millwall at home in the fa cup in jan a few years back and leeds away in December in that first season in league one. horrendous experiences!
If you're not worried about how they look Jen, get yourself to Mike Ashley's Sports Direct jumble sale. I picked up thermals there ridiculously cheap and the beauty is ... on-one ever sees them (except the wife and despite my best efforts, they do nothing for her )
I would but m&s is just around the corner and I buy all my underwear there! I don't want give that twat Ashley any money either!
Coldest game I think I've been to was when we had the friendly match against Bayern Munich (2003/4 season?) on an FA Cup weekend after we'd been knocked out early
FLT - if its transport you need, I'm sure we can sort something to get you up to Stoke As for Mark Hughes style...a little better tactically but the thuggery is still awful, they still have Shawcross and his cohorts pushing, pulling and kicking the what sit out of the opposition
