That team doesn't look bad at the face of it. Simpson will definitely be a starter next year, so there's no question he'd be in the preferred starting line-up.
And I'm guessing Evans will start in CM alongside McKenna if we're gonna pay a chunk of our transfer budget on him. Would 433 work with the team like this. Gulasi Rosenior Hobbs Chester Dudgeon Evans McKenna Koren Stewart Fryatt Simpson
I hope Dudgeon is an attacking wing back like Rosenior, other wise we dont have a great deal of pace in our team. We know Stewart can create goals, as can Koren but we only have Stewart that can beat a man
Gulacsi Rosenior Hobbs Chester Dudgeon ---------------McKenna ----------- ----------Evans ---- Bullard----- Koren--------------------------Stewart ---------------_Fryatt----------------------
I'd expect to see this: ---------------GK--------------- Rosenior--Ayala--Hobbs--Dudgeon ------------Chester-------------- ---Koren----McKenna----Evans--- -------Simpson-----Fryatt--------
Should imagine there will be at least 2 or 3 more players coming as well as a few going out so am saving posting my team yet! Some plonker on the HDM site was saying Liverpool want Cairney, will believe that when I see it!
As it been confirmed that Gulacsi is our signing from Liverpool? I think we will get Ayala on a full deal and maybe Gulacsi as a loan myself. I would be happy with Boothferry legends team (would play more 4-3-3 with Koren and Simpson playing as wing forwards though)
This Cairney to Liverpool thing is just some rubbish that someone posted on football-rumours.com for a laugh, he put the fee at £10-12m.
He can get in, he is just not favoured. With the signing of Mckenna surely someone is going to leave from our midfield. Not saying TC to Liverpool but we are weighted down with centre mids. Where is the invention and skill going to come from?
My guess is that Evans could be playing a more attacking role. After all, he netted a few in the latter stages of the season...
Can't believe you're all writing off Dawson! I'd be surprised if he gives up his place without a fight.
True but hes lost his pace (well what pace hedid have) and wingers seem to be getting quicker every season and I dont think Dudgeon was brought in to sit on the bench or in the reserves
i too wouldnt write dawson off just yet, im not sure who will start the season as left back...good to have a bit of genuine competition tho and the knowledge if the 1st choice gets injured, we have a good replacement, rather then having to play a right back there and switch the whole back 4 etc..
