I really dont get why it's seen as some kind of 'Hull anthem'. Only half of the main line-up were from Hull and 2 of the others are pretty fervent fans of other clubs, one of which is a historic rival. And it's a really uninspiring, trudgingly **** song that isnt fitting for a sports venue where they try to whip the crowd up. Of course any song suggested now people will respond 'they're not from Hull either' but the point is it would be an inspirational song.
They may not all be "from" Hull, and indeed two of them do indeed support other teams, but The Housemartins are unequivocally a "Hull band" regardless of birthplaces. That said, on the subject of Caravan Of Love, I agree that it's not the right choice of song for the KC.
I don't think it's rousing enough; was a bit disappointed when I saw the you tube video. Isn't there something Mick Ronson did that we can use?
Get a grip, the song should be played at the KC and h u double l c I t y should be chanted. Come on ultras, get it sorted!
It needs to be our own, not a song nicked off another club with some lame word changing. this Citys on Fire is ours, no one elses.
Is this waiting for the team to come out or as the teams comes out? Caravan of love is dreadful. If you want the Housemartians surely Happy Hour would be much more uptempo to get you bouncing. I know Norman isn't from Hull but he spent a lot of time there, Why not Right Here Right Now or Praise You by Fatboy slim?
This is our new club anthem. There was a big vote last week and it won. So, I suggest you all learn the words and, if you can, the dance. You don't have to, but you can dance. If you want to.
We can leave other fans behind, 'cause there fans don't dance and if they don't dance well, they're no fans of ours
You say that but look at clubs that have very credible intro songs that if released now and not established would look ridiculous; Liverpool You'll never walk alone, West Ham Bubbles song, Arsenal Wonder of You, forest Mull of Kintyre, Palace Glad all Over etc etc. Yellow submarine all the way for me!!!
It goes back to the old Bunkers Hill days in the 60's when we used to sing "We all support a Black and Amber team"
We need something fronthe 59 violets, Turismo or the dirty dreamers, proper Hull music from the early to mid 2000's, proper get the crowd rocking No paddingtons though, they dont need anymore royalties for coke
