I don't hold grudges, never did.
Sure I can have an argument or disagreement with someone over a certain subject.
Doesn't mean I dislike them & the next day it's over & done with as far as I'm concerned.
Life's too short man, let's just live it while we can.

I actually blame the stopping of cross board threads..

Certainly there has always been disagreements on here between us, i've been in quite a few<whistle>

Lines are just being drawn now, and it's sad to say, there is a divide amongst some of us..But it'll blow over, for a while.

The only regret for me, is seeing these tit for tats, and it's mainly the members that have been on here the longest, engaging in them. It must be off putting for the newer members, and they are the lifeline of the forum.

This recent chain of events came out of nowhere really..and i do feel sorry for the mods..

But not a perception held by a grudge? It's not of course

Yes his comment was a dig but not a personal one. You've set up the sort of thread that always brings optimists and pessimists together and when this happens you get these sort of comments, you know this, don't take it so personally, it happens all the time and happened before smug came to post on here. Don't know if you were on the old 606 but smug did it to people who weren't you way back then. He hasn't got a vendetta against anyone, he's just a pisstaker. He does it to me, on bad days I've snapped, but calmed down and remembered it's just his humor.

Aye, can only say how it looked to me. Just looks like Smug got to you with a nothing comment, you seem quite sensitive and intolerant to him. Smug always bashes pessimists, he likes to wind them up like many do. It's just forum crack.

I think the grudge card was hastily called there that's all. It needlessly adds what is a very unattractive forum atm, one i admit I've contributed to, something I should have handled better and for that I'm not proud of myself.

I remember a time where we could have an argument without grudges, Cest and I clash on opinions all the time, it gets heavy often, we don't accuse each other of grudges, he's a lovely man, I always take an interest in how he and his family are doing. I've clashed with Mackems Rule, Com, Wearside, Billy, Smug, you! All people I don't always agree with but posters I really like, knowing full well i'll probability clash with everyone again.

I think Com's spot on about the divide, To me it's group of people who don't get Smug at all, and another group who do get him. It's f**ing daft it's ripping the forum apart. But for every argument Smug has on here, there's somebody else arguing just as much. It takes two you see.

Can't we just all accept we like heated debate without it all being about the bloody daft blame game. This forum is getting far too political, to the point every thread goes to forum politics, can't get we just get back arguing about normal things? Far too personal on here.

To be fair lads, what did we expect? No improvement on last season's team yet we are 4 points better off than this time last season, it was hardly going to be a top ten push this year, just another consolidation season.

For me thats better than being rooted to the bottom of the table with 1 point after 8 games like last season.

I wouldn't say many teams have a prolific striker this season other than Costa and maybe Dzeko/Aguero so Im not too concerned that our strikers are not scoring but we need others to chip in.

Agree with your sentiments but I think we're much stronger. But we didn't have the budget and we didn't want to bring too many in so it's going to take a few windows to address all areas.

If people get concerned about football then you shouldnt watch it because you havent realised that things never change. You can change managers and owners but things never ever change so it doesnt matter. The key to watching football is to have the mindset "im going to go out and make a day of it and enjoy the match" you have to think like this regardless of the result and thats how you get the most enjoyment out of football.

For normal people mate, I agree.

Sadly there are those who get their enjoyment out of whinging, looking for the negatives and moaning non stop.

The margins are so slim aren't they?

Fletcher's header on target and the mood would be entirely different.
