our start has been awful,i had high hopes we would be ok without suarez but sadly we look like a midtable team without him. and guys dont say sturridge will be our 'saviour' because he bloody well aint,he is made of glass and eventually all his injuries will catch up with him. im not happy with any of brendans signings bar moreno we have bought a bunch fecking nobodys!! we sold a world class player and replaced him with average players at best we should have brought class not feckin potential. my rant for the day arghhh!!!

I can understand the concern but I still think there's a lot to be encouraged by. We're on a bad run of form, that much is true but form can be easily turned around. Today was much better, and we were unlucky not to get all 3 points. Lallana is starting to look good, Moreno and Manquillo both upgrades on Enrique and Johnson retrospectively, Balotelli had a decent game today and Sturridge will ease some of that pressure that's being heaped on him. Add Flanagan and Allen both nearing match fitness and the pure fact that Sterling is developing in to a worldie, and the growth of Henderson doesn't seem to be halting either.

I trust Rodgers and I trust the very good group of players he has at his disposal. I think as the season goes on we'll really start to see the Liverpool of last season turn up. Have a bit of faith.

The league is that tight that a couple of wins puts you up near the top and a couple of defeats near the bottom.

As United fans know all too well, nothing is won or lost at this stage of the season. It is time for both our clubs to start getting our asses in to gear, though. It's like we're having a "who can be the most ****" contest.

Don't see how bringing a 1930's music hall act into the first team will achieve anything, but I am willing to give it a go. Altogether now

We did look a lot better today, but the result is disastrous for us. Just further behind getting top 4.

    I would like to see Rodgers switch it up a bit and play;

    -----------------Mignolet
    Manquillo---Skrtel---Lovren---Moreno
    -----------------Gerrard
    --------Henderson---Lallana
    -----------------Coutinho
    -----------Sterling---Sturridge

Lallana with Henderson in the middle is a must for me. Coutinho knows how we play best and loves to link up with Sturridge.
Lastly, I think Sterling is getting so good, he could play the Suarez role from last season. Maybe not the same effect, but he can do a lot in that free role.

Looks like the league this year is going to be even tighter than previous ones. I expect two run away teams in Citeh and Chavs, other than that it looks almost impossible to predict at the moment. (Although I do expect Arsenal to with the 4th place trophy again)

But there are still worrying things. The Set Piece defending still looks terrible and we still have no answer to a 11 man behind the ball type game.

Unless we get our act together very quickly the whole thing will run away from us and We'll be out of the title chase.

Don't think we were ever in that. Its going to be either Chelsea or Man City.

Our aim this season should be to achieve top4 and gain another year in the CL.

To be fair last season was the same. Right up to Christmas, I wouldn't have put United out of winning the damn thing the way everyone's results were going. Liverpool were pegged at times, as much as City, Arsenal and Chelsea were as well. But that seems to be being forgotten. I think it's way to early to write anyone off.

The only advantage the likes of Chelsea, Arsenal and City have over United and Liverpool is that they each have a pretty settled squad. After xmas and we'll have a better idea of what's what.

I meant mathematically out if it. We were one of the contenders at the start of the season. But I agree that it is looking quite difficult. The CL place is still well within our grasp.

I think our midfield and defense will come good. My concern is very much the same as at the start of the year - we've still got one striker. Balotelli is **** and one inevitable wonder goal from now til Christmas won't change that. Despite all the claims that he's had good games for us, it doesn't change the fact that he slows down our attacks, doesn't seem willing to run channels, doesn't get into the box and insists on long range shots. Right now, he's an improvement on Carroll. Another player who had good performances for us, but really didn't suit what we wanted from our forwards.

We looked pretty comfortable today. I thought both full backs were excellent esp Moreno who played the whole game against Lukaku and did what we haven't been able to do in previous seasons , stop him scoring. Manquillo virtually shut out mc reedy and Baines second half. Lallana looks better with each game but Markovic looks out of it at the moment. We never really looked like conceding and but for Tim Howard's big head we would have been 2 up.
Let's face it we lost to a worldie/hit and hope/ fluke goal. What can you do about that? It was agood solid clearing header from Lovren that dropped to a defender who has only scored one prem goal before.
Just our luck but we were better today, best performance after Spurs. Don't dispair yet

Still think we need a class striker as an outlet for Gerrard's long passes and also a cutting edge.

I hear that Brendan is making a bid for benzema in January. He'll be quality and we'll definitely be able to challenge if we get him.

Let's not forget we have Sturridge coming back from injury. He will transform the whole team and give everyone a little more space and options on the ball.
