Unfortunately the first 15/20 minutes against a good team is very important.

Playibg FIFA and Championship Manager doesn't make you an expert on football you know! It's not just the ability toshoot that makes soneone 'world class'. They can make space and turn defenders inside out! I lost count of the number of decent tackles our defence made, so I'm not going to slate them because they let someone get away from them.

Both Livermore and Thudd were poor early on, although Huddlestone did improve as the game went on. Thudd does lack bit of self discipline with some of those cheap fouls he was giving away. He has to get that crap out of his game

    Yeah I agree
Time to start looking for a new keeper I think also
Didn't want to criticize but too many mistakes now for my liking

Thought he should have saved the 3rd.

And if we get a new one make sure he can distribute the ball a little better.

How fickle. What did you expect?
Hull are a mid table side at best. Delusions of Grandeur or what.

Very impressed with the way we played after a much too defensive first 15 minutes. Once we began to pressure them in their own half we began to look like a really good team and their OG lit a spark. Diames aggression has transformed our CMF but we can do a lot better than Livermore who kept giving the ball away. McGregor has not been the same since his injury and needs to be on the bench with Livermore. Against CP I'd start Brady who combines well with Robertson on the LW and is a goal scoring threat and give Jakupovic another chance in goal.

Proud of the lads after the first 15 mins were out the way. Played very well against one of the best teams in the world.

    I still think we should've played 3-5-2.

You may be right. However, the lads played much better than the last 3 games.

First 15 minutes we played like rabbits in a headlight, after that we were in the game and I thought up to them scoring the 3rd we might go on a snatch it. Anyhow a really good performance by them all.

    I agree.

    Chazz out!

We say NOOO Chazz, we say NOOOOOOOOOOO!

That said, even though we lost, they're in a different dimension to us football wise and I was genuinely pleased with our performance. Lots of positives today I reckon. Apart from the score of course.

Yes, exactly. We don't have the cover with Elmo and Robertson bombing on.

Livermore's just out of form at the moment and the worst thing you could do is ask him to play in a role that he's not used to. He did give the ball away quite a few times today but got better as the game wore on. Having said that Diame gave possession away cheaply on several occasions as well.

I am the first to admit I do not like 352 and last season we appeared to win more games when we switched from that to a more conventional flat 4. However playing a midfield diamond and expecting our full backs to provide the width to such an extent is simply leaving us too exposed at the back. The amount of mistakes McGregor has been making lately just magnifies this weakness. We need to go back to 3 at the back or play with two defensive midfielders in front of the defence for extra protection.

We looked dire against Villa using a back three but surely that is something which could be worked on? Shipping goals and seeing Chester on the bench seems mental!

Really agree with this. I spent all second half of last season thinking we did much better when we went to 4-4-2 but if 4-4-2 means Elmo and Robertson (both wing backs in my opinion)playing as full backs and without a decent defensive midfield player, I really think we need 3-5-2 now - plus makes no sense to leave out Chester.

I passed Harry McGuire as I was leaving the game yesterday, he is a big bugger, just saying like.
