According to sponsor Allam Marine, they're called Hull Tigers Ladies, but according the YouTube channel they're called Hull City Ladies FC? Some good finishing by Rebecca Beech, but much of this reminds me of a scene from Kes...
The Fail always calls them Hull Tigers Ladies in their reports too. Strangely it's still Hull City Ladies on the FA website.
Some nice football and some good goals. Well played ladies. I saw a small boy but was the Kestrel hiding in the bushes?
It's shocking, I can't believe this is happening every other chairman has always used the clubs full name in advertising...... oh wait Everyone needs to get a grip, it's not only us (past or present) that uses the nickname in advertising. If this name change was never suggested and the club just advertised using 'the tigers' or just a tigers head would there be this uproar as there is now over the current advertising/ programmes, I don't remember there has been in the past as it's part of the clubs heritage
The name change has been suggested though, so in this context it's perfectly understandable that people will get pissed off at stuff like this.
Barnsley the land time forgot. "I take the penaltys on this team"!! I had a chat with Brian Glover in Owld English once, he was tiny.
" Denis Law's in the wash". http://sabotagetimes.com/reportage/denis-laws-in-the-wash-in-praise-of-ken-loachs-kes/
Not one of those is an advert. There would be no issue with that advert, had there never been an attempt to get rid of our name and if it didn't contain a badge that has had our name removed. People don't need to get a grip, some just need to get a spine.
I liked the restrained goal scoring celebrations much more dignified than their professional male counterparts, the opposing goalie had a busy afternoon. Good video.
Some people need to get a grip on the whole situation 1. Have we used the tigers head before 2. Have we used the words 'the tigers' before 3. Are we known as the tigers (nickname) If yes to any of the above it's nothing new to promote the club, either advertising or programmes and all pre-Allam/ name change I'm not keen on the idea of changing the clubs name but this isn't the question I'm asking it's around marketing and advertising which has been used in the past
There's nothing wrong with using The Tigers, or the tigers head logo, it's the concerted effort to remove Hull City from everything that's the issue.
