    I think Europe should be the aim for any top 10 side. Its the natural next step. Avoid relegation > Survive > Establish > Top Half > Europe. Sorry if it offends you that we're allowed to challenge for Europe. It's not like you have had a few articles saying you should be aiming there as well as Amadonkey saying you should be looking for at least Europa league soon haha

    I'd be more concerned with your unproven French lads 'doing a Birmingham'. Good first season followed by freefall. I'd rather be in our position than yours :p

    No team has the right to be in Europe. Not manure, arsenal, liverpool, spurs. Certainly not the Toon.

    We want it and are spending for it. Why shouldn't we aspire and hope to get there? I'm sure Short, Quinn and Bruce are targeting it if not expecting it; and they know more than me or you.

    That's the problem we have, Syd. Twisting what my point was. I was laughing at the 'where we belong' bit, I have no problem at all with you challenging and think its good that you aim that high.

    It's not inplausible that both sides could be competing for Europe in the next 2-3 years.

    I, for one, would love to see it happen.

    Sunderland 3 - 0 Newcastle, Europa League Final, Dortmund 2015.

    Fully entitled, but it is my opinion that you just pick out anything I say and think the thread has been ruined. Look closer to home for some answers as well. The constant abuse from a couple of your members just because we didn't agree. Its a football forum, don't get so uptight about it.
