Green Onuoha Ferdinand Caulker Traore Henry Sandro Kranjcar Fer Phillips Austin Subs: McCarthy, Isla, Hill, Yun, Hoilett, Vargas, Zamora
All this talk of the team gelling. But it seems we have the same problem as Hughes had. Harry does not know his best eleven. Or if he does i am guessing that some are either not fit enough to play the whole 90 mins and others are just injured. Not sure if there is any truth in Sandro doing his knee whilst sliding along the ground in training. We need to pick what formation we are playing and stick to it. I would go for four three three Green Isla Ned Caulker Yun Mutch Barton Fer Phillips Charlie Vargas
Arguably our best performance of the season was with 352 (Hull). I have a suspicion Harry will switch back to it... Re Sandro; West London Sport think he'll be in contention for a place: http://www.westlondonsport.com/qpr/...to-be-without-duo-at-southampton-wls-football
I like the back four queensland, but after our apparent defensive vulnerability last week (up until Henry came on) it seems to me like we can't afford to play without a DCM. Do you think we'll be solid enough without one or would one of these 3 sit deep in your formation?
Green Isla Caulker Ferdinand Yun Sandro Fer Krankjar Vargas Austin Hoilett I would like to have Ned in there instead of Ferdinand but I can see no chance of that happening. Also assuming that Mutch and Barton are not fit.
SSN -Barton and Mutch confirmed as out. Sandros and Nico late fitness tests (didn't know Nico was injured)
Are you suggesting that Ferdinand's qualified to deal with pace now because he's faced it before? Bobby Moore's faced pace before.
Clint Hill playing at CB would never allow himself to be bullied tamely off the ball, as Rio has been guilty of in recent games.
He's clearly lost a lot of pace now, but he still has shed loads of experience to help him cope (I was mainly just having a dig back at our Saints friend).
Definitely Ned at CB before Clint or Dunne - I was pointing out that despite his similar age, Clint would not have yielded so meekly and allowed himself to be manhandled like that.
