I particularly liked MLTs long range goal at Coventry. As soon as it went in I remember thinking it was a bit special ( mind you that seemed to happen most weeks at the time with MLT)

 

I like the Lambert goal most from that lot. One touch and he knew exactly what he was doing and where the goalkeeper was. In many ways it was perfection, I don't know how it could have been improved.

What about WayneThomas? Can't remember who against but scored a worldy. Perhaps someone can remember?

 

Remember the Nick Holmes one well.great stuff and some crackers in the 10.

 

I remember Chris Baird scored a cracker at SMS some years ago Not sure who against, but it was an evening match and the term 'screamed into the top corner' could well be applied to that one.

 

Initial gut feeling was Norwich, but I'm probably wrong.

 

Blackpool? When we knocked them out of a cup.

 

Or it might of been Ipswich.

 

That was my other gut feeling.

Barry Horne v Bolton was the best I ever saw live. A friend and I were very late and only got to the ground at half time. Score was 1-1 when we arrived, then Bolton scored and it looked like we were going out of the cup. Until this happened (goal at 0.42)

On a side note, I remember it cost us £1 (that's ONE POUND!) each to get in that night. Second best pound I have ever spent (the best was given to a fourth year in my first week at school, as payment for him not punching my face in). Happy days all round...

Nick Holmes scored a cracking long danger against Liverpool circa 1981-84??? I think we won 4-1 (again)

 

I remember seeing daddy knock a fourth in from about 30yrs mid nineties I think against the spammers. That was pretty neat
