There is no way he should be playing up there on his own. Just not that kind of player. Hopefully him and cisse can get on alright. I actually think that when cisse is back in the team proper we should give some more time to Perez. I think he looks like he has got a bit of class and needs the game time to adjust to the physicality needed.

    He simply isn't good enough.
I'd probably take Shola over him.

MANU Riviere ‘isn’t ready’ to carry the weight of Newcastle’s goalscoring burden, admits manager Alan Pardew.

Then why in Gods name did you buy him?
And why do you persist in playing him up front on his own?
    Pardew is such a muppet

Pardew plays him up front week in, week out so obviously he does think he's ready. If not, why persist with that ****ty formation that obviously doesn't ****ing work. What a ****ing clown.

Was thinking a similar thing myself. Dunno why he insists on playing anyone up top on their own it's clearly not working...at least not with the shower of ****e we've got to play there. We don't have a striker capable of holding the ball up and bringing others around them into the game.

As has been said so many times, why doesn't someone say to Pardew "well, why have you played him there all season?". His answer might be "I've been short of option", at which point either "so why not change the formation" or "why didn't you buy a striker" could be asked.

I just don't understand - our journalists are among those bemoaning the lack of answers, yet when they're given the chance to ask clear questions they don't do it. Why?

I agree this 1 striker malarkee isnt working!

We need to get 2 strikers on the pitch . That in turn will eleviate some of the preasure on the strikers.

It will never happen as long as pardew is still copying the mourinio way of boring solidness with the hope of getting a goal somehow.

Id prefer to play the open diamond shape and loose giving it a go than loose playing with 5 in midfield.

However pards tries to dress it up as 4 2 3 1 or 4 3 2 1 ...end of the day when the players are on the pitch its 4 5 1 with 1 striker... possible why we hardly score any goals and hardly win any games !!

The media in general never seem to give him difficult questions save after the Southampton game, the guy on BBC Newcastle did actually make him squirm alittle but not enough imo. Sky will never do it as that Ashley rimmer David Craig does it all. I can't even put in to words how much I hate that w**ker.
