To join the coaching staff at Liverpool who would you sign. You can be as extravagant as you like its all only fun. Whoever you choose will sign. GK coach : Ray Clemence - former red and great keeper back in the day. DF coach : Sami Hyppia - rock of a defender and could teach our backs a thing or two MF coach : At coach : Robbie Fowler - natural finisher Ian Rush - another natural Ta coach : Paco Ayestaran - former assistant and some believe rafas slide came when paco left the club after falling out with rafa. Im stumped between Jan Molby and Steve McMahon for the midfield job. Ive chosen all staff that were ex players or ex staff at the club already. Each will know and understand what the club means to the fans and all have expierence of success with the club. Who would your coaching choices be ...
Molby for mid coach although i wouldn't be disappointed if we had McMahon, we miss that steel in mid, we have wimps lol. cant we have them both? i chose Molby as if we are going to pass pass pass, we need to get someone in to show them what to do with the ruddy ball when they have it, and Molby fits that better than McMahon for me. love to see Barnes as well, but dont know how, make a job up lol. agree pretty much with the rest, good choices.
Nice avatar Hashy. I'd have Tony Soprano in the set up. Let him loose or send the lads out on a short boat trip when they've not done well, maybe don't let them go the way of Big Pussy though
hmmmmm coaches in each area... i'd want the young turks who've gone and got properly qualifies not these guys... basically i don't agree wther what the club means as they can learn that but sitting at anfiled
I think we need a defensive coach, but i would not choose Steve Clarke - he's very negative and old school i.e. 2 banks of 4. We still conceded 40 odd goals when he was here and we lost a lot of matches because we tried to be tight at the back but ended up conceding a goal, and we didn't have enough in attack to score. Hyypia's style is playing a deeper line so I dont think he suits our high line style. A GK coach is badly needed - we've had a number of keepers since the last GK coach left and all seem to have regressed under Achterberg.
Think we need a quality alternative keeper more than a coach. Not a number two, but an equal with as much chance at first team football as Minger. City have it, Chelsea have it.
Another thing to go in the anti-Rodgers case file... was stupid letting him go in retrospect since we brought in, erm, no other goalie
that's only fair if it was his decision, if it came from above we cant have a goalie on the bench on silly money get rid type thing then not rodgers fault.
