Despite the win this week I'm not sure the team are feeling fully confident yet, so I'll go for a 1-1 draw.
Come on guys we have to beat teams like fecking Wycombe Wanderers to get out of this fecking league!PUP.
Oh ffs Why don't we just admit it, after a flukey start we're going back to our annual relegation battle
Patience young Lochinvar there's a long way to go yet. A draw seems a fair result today. Wycombe have done well lately.
A cracking goal from Johnny Ertl sent the crowd and the press-box wild! Wycombe had to resort to time-wasting.
Didn't work though; the ref added it on. However on the balance of the game I understand a draw was a fair result. Sounded quite exciting stuff.
Cheer up PL. The bookies have you as low as 11/8 for promotion, 9/1 to win the league outright and you can get 125/1 for relegation.
They were hard to break down and their right back was particularly good....their goal was soft though - Jed put in some cracking crosses in the first half that somebody should have got on the end of....not enough gambling on that front....they time wasted the minute after they went 1-0 up tbh which was frustrating but we really need to expect that from anyone. I think a draw was about right - we didn't do enough to win and they rarely actually threatened....Dunne's screamer would have been a lovely way to win it though and well done to Johnny E who did a good job of breaking up midfield when moved there and of course his goal.....so a point and move on.
Good game today, end to end stuff. Wycombe are the best team I've seen at FP this season. A 1-1 draw was a fair result. If James Dunne's superb shot had gone in instead of hitting the crossbar, we might have won it. Johnny Ertl's goal was excellent - what a cracker ! Happy with the draw though, but thought the referee was very poor.
Good good points from today, Hollands played well today unlike Tuesday when he was awful. Ertl was mostly solid and strong, just what we needed at that time at the back, then was moved into midfield and added a bit of bite back in, plus his goal was brill as already mentioned by others. On the down side Westcarr was not so good again, never wins a header - so why do we insist on playing high balls into him ?, looses it when in front of goal - pretty sure he missed at least 3 today, passing is 50:50. Does not seem to improve on a match by match basis ?
He got booked in the first half, and was spoken to by the ref a few times about other challenges, so Awfs quite rightly thought it a good idea to substitute hime at half time, before he got a second yellow/red card. I thought at the time it would have been better to have brought Adam Webster on, but readily admit that bringing on Johnny Ertl was an inspired move - he was excellent in all he did
