Someone please convince me we aren't gonna play this badly all season. Our defence looks like the worst in the league
if the price of concussion is an assessment by independent doctor before player is allowed to play then this can easily be corrected. however................ aside from this.... this disgrace does't need comment......
So I get the good news that I can see most of the game as not leaving until 6.40, and then we play crap. I think teams have sussed us out and know if they close us down quickly we can't play our flowing game. Combine that with the fact we are rubbish at set pieces and teams know they stand a good chance of beating us. With us having three at the back and having to chase the game the second half is going to be very open could still go either way
He is very good out wide, but he can influence the game more from the middle. Having said that, he is being bullied today, so best out wide.
Who the **** is that playing in yellow? Disgraceful...only good point is we are only a goal down and we can't play worse second half....can we? Lucas.....why?
gerrard needs to come off his legs are shot!! bring lallana on for gerrard and we might get back into it. maybe even markovic for borini.
Rodgers half time team talk, should put a rocket up their arses - I'm optimistic we'll take 3 points. after 10-15 mins we need to take Gerrard or Lucas off and put a more attack minded player on - either Lallana or Markoic, preferably Lallana due to PL experience.
Markovic for Borini I agree, I would leave him to roam freely up top too. Best thing is that West Ham should be nervous now and his new look team don't look the old rigid type that could sit on a narrow lead.
I'd rather keep gerrard on and take Lucas off. He may be slow but he's not that slow compared to Lucas. He can also create and score whereas lucas can do neither . Agree with Lallana and markovic though
Prior to this game, I had doubts that Rodgers was bold enough to make early changes if a game plan wasn't working. Well, he's done that in the first 20minutes thankfully. Unfortunately, I think he needs to do it again at half time and make another change (at the very least). No creativity in the midfield, can't keep hold of the ball and we just look slow and lazy. Have we (Rodgers and thus the plays) become complacent in that we can turn up and blitz teams away? Last year, we constantly played ourselves down and fought from the off for every ball and pressed all through the game. Every game was a new battle we were prepared for. Now we just look like we can't be arsed. Sort it out Rodgers. Be bold, change the team and fire the players up because this is atrocious.
