Sorry. Should have been more clear. Some of the stuff I'm reading on social media. Mainly along the lines of "Don't know why Pardew's under pressure","Done a great job", "This performance shows why he should still be manager", etc.

Ah, fair enough. I've happily not spotted such ridiculous comments. Perhaps my mind has a self defence mechanism to stop my head from exploding!

Quite a lot of stupid comments are being printed on the BBC Sport page. I'm quite clear in my views. I think Pardew should have been sacked for poor performances last season, but he wasn't. He should have been sacked for unprofessional behaviour, he wasn't. Setting that aside, just basing my opinion on this season, he's been given a massive problem, because the squad is weak. We were already massively light when we decided to sell Cabaye... To replace those players with cheap trash is bearing fruit right now, more so than "horrific management" on his part.

    BUT...

The fans don't want him, and on the totting up process, there's plenty of reasons for him to be fired. This recent run should be a good excuse.

Yet I realise that means little to the owners. I think they will sack him, but not now. They'll give him copious chance to right the situation, and if he doesn't, once we're careering towards relegation, they'll get rid of him and that'll appease fans for a few months. Perfect scapegoating... I'm really glad the protests focused on Ashley today, great from the fans <ok>

The good news is that if Newcastle keep picking up points at this rate then relegation will be averted in sixty-two games from now.

    The bad news is...

Quite a lack of posts on here today compared with the last couple of games. Is it a case of apathy?

Let's hope Cisse doesn't suffer a reaction to his injury. Quotes from Pardew:

"He really shouldn’t be on the pitch, which is a real tribute to my staff to get him in condition because he’s only trained for four days.

"At this level that’s remarkable. We’re really pleased to have him back. My medical staff didn't agree that he should be included today.

If Pardew makes it November I would be surprised and even then December is horrific. No chance.

December's fixtures would look scary even IF we were in the top four, let alone flirting with relegation. I think Christmas has been canceled.

Not sure what this has to do with our match against Hull. Things like this should go in Shearer's <ok>

Utter ****. We had control of the game but our players are just so average. We need Aaron's back ASAP. Pleased for cisse, maybe he's unbroken......nah. Nonetheless he did well. Rivière don't impress me. Protests were pathetic <laugh><laugh><laugh>

We need Aarons 'back' ASAP, although he's never even started a league game for us before. Tells you everything you need to know about the strength of our current squad.
