How are you going to present it to Camilla Hampy. Will it be with our usernames from here on it. Any chance of a mention in the first programme of the season?. Can anyone get somebody from the press down there to take pictures, or take some ourselves and send in for possible publication. We always hear how our club do great things for the community, it would be nice to read a story about some people doing something nice for the club.
Disagree San Diego - this is a little gesture to put a smile on her face and know that the work she does is appreciated, not for glory. I was just planning to send a bouquet for the money we raised with a card explaining who we are and why we felt moved to say thanks. You guys can suggest the wording on the card, and once we know how much the final total is can pick the bouquet out online too. I wasn't trying to get our 5 minutes of fame Hampy, I know my last post kinda read that way, not intentional. It was more a sort of 'We have a great club who does this kind of thing for unknown people and look at the great supporters we have too'. It would just make nice reading for many people and make them proud to be a blue and part of the community. There is always so much negative news every day that it's a pleasant surprise when you read about these selfless acts of kindness. Is that not why we are doing this all in the first place? I couldn't care less if the bouquet was sent annonymously, it's not about us personally but the fact that a bunch of great people have got together to show support for their club. It might even highlight the original story more. This still sounds like glory hunting (not intentional) but I hope you get where I'm coming from. (forget the match programme mention)
