That's the best result we could have hoped for , lucky lucky but u need luck, another tough season ahead of us
The ref was very poor today. Shawcross should have seen red for conceding two penaltys. We showed fight and got a point, we've got to take that attitude out on the road with us.
Sunderland fan watching in the US. Shawcross and the ref are the epitome of what's wrong with football...disgraceful!
Niko's outstanding free kick even cleared Shawcross jumping that high - justice. Niko could turn out be our best signing of the season, he's arrived lean & fit, ready to play and score goals - he had a few good cracks today, especially that 35 yarder......and compared to some, he was obviously extremely eager to come here and play for us. please log in to view this image please log in to view this image
So Rio's been responsible for 3 goals now. And he's replaced our best CB and loyal club stalwart. Would any of his groupies like to comment?
I agree - I would rather even see Clint there in the natural position for his age - it has been ridiculous playing him at LB in recent games.
BEEN AN ENJOYABLE MATCH QPR and stoke supporting northern monkey watched in peace drinking beer at a reasonable hour for a change
Totally past it. It was said when it was rumoured he was signing , and the performances this season back that up 100% , Onuhua has to start next week with Caulker , I would leave Isla in the RB position even after today , much better will come from him
QPR midfielder Niko Kranjcar, speaking to BT Sport: "We are happy with the way we reacted. Coming in to the second half I thought we had the momentum and we showed character. From the footballing side we have to improve but we showed spirit and that is very important." Stoke City forward Peter Crouch, speaking to BT Sport: "To not win the game is cruel. I thought we were the better team. I thought we deserved to win the game. But at this level, one free kick is all it takes. I've seen him do it thousands of times in training. I said just before it: 'He is good at these.' It was a great free kick. But it is very disappointing and hard to take. "We've made a good start to the season but we need to get back to basics at home. Away from home we have looked a real threat. We could have scored three or four but if you don't punish the quality teams you will always be susceptible to drawing the game." Other comments:- "You simply do NOT stop freekicks taken that well - up over the wall and quickly down, Kranjcar saves Harry's day! "Krancjar has always been underrated. Good touch and has a great long shot. There is reason as to why Harry loves playing him!" "And that's why Harry Redknapp keeps buying Niko Kranjcar!" "That goal doesn't paper over what was a horrible display by QPR." "A point or not, QPR have looked utterly clueless today." http://www.bbc.com/sport/live/football/28697713
Whatever the result Stoke should have been playing with 10 men, the ref was disgraceful. As for Ferdinand he's finished, should be on the bench at best.
IMO, that was a piss poor performance. We should be beating teams like Stoke at home. OK we are only 5 games in, but I'm worried.
