Laurent Robert had more goals and more assists in one season than jonas has had in three - and we were in europe instead of the championship

Could always play Jonas on the right, with Marveaux on the left which would make sense for natural positions.

Jonas has more assists than Iniesta this season. You can make stats say whatever you want them to

Jonas gets the ball... runs past one... two... three.... gets to the byline.... and cant cross off his left so cuts in then loses the ball

Thats not a reply to what i said

and what you've just mentioned is the easiest problem in the world to solve. Play him on the right

except Jonas is a Left Winger. Just because he's right footed doesnt mean he's a right winger. Personally, I'd play Marveaux on the right as it sounds like it would suit his game (cutting inside and passing/shooting, he's totally one footed too)

Jonas is a right winger, we play him on the left as we had no-one on the left. He plays Right Wing/Right Back for Argentina. Marveaux is a left winger, playing them in their natural positions would create a better balance, then central midfield of Tiote/Cabaye (Barton)/Ben-Arfa(AM).

"Following the departure of Left-sided winger Damien Duff in the transfer window, Gutierrez has switched from his usual right winger to left winger position." - the might 'pedia!

-----------Striker------------ Wouldn't Mind Sturridge up here
    ----------Ben Arfa----------
    Marv------------------Jonas
-------Tiote - Cabaye------- Rotate with Barton as needed (read as: Tiote cards after other players falling over as he runs towards them)

If we keep Enrique then I think Jonas should stay on the left because they have a good partnership and understanding, but if Enrique goes then we might as well switch Jonas over to the right, he is good at tracking back so would help Simpson out as well.

Actually, what happens A LOT more often is Jonas gets the ball... runs past one... two... three.... gets to the byline.... and gets fouled, or tackled so that we get a throw in or corner in a dangerous position... and we're in the other teams half - which wouldn't have happened without his run or link up play with Enrique. Add a good cross to his game (which he pulls off every now and then anyway) and we're laughing. He also worries defences and pulls defenders our of position.

The few games he missed last season we looked inept and slow and hardly got the ball near our strikers - I think we only won one he didn't play (Everton away, thanks to a certain brilliant performance).

It's so easy for morons to slag players off cos they only look at what they do with the ball, rather than looking at their overall contribution to the team.
