Do agree though. Head and shoulders above the rest of them. That being said, I am surprisingly a fan of Carragher too. Never thought I'd like either of them in my lifetime.

Scholes not so good. But I think people like the fact Neville isn't biased towards United and he clearly knows what he's talking about.
I preferred it when Carra accused Neville (indirectly) of being either a failed CB or a failed winger. Also loved Neville's comment about Liverpool or City for the title last season!

Shearer is ****...clueless idiot imo, but then most on MOTD are. Only other pundit I rate is Martin Keown, he talks a heck of a lot of sense but isn't on the TV enough. He's changed my opinion of him from when he was a player.
Shearer is awful. Neville is good as long as hes not talking about the united way, united players or anything united. He tries to hard to not be a united fan. Though its better than being like Phil thompson. What a moron he is.

I think the team or Neville and Carragher works perfectly - you can see they've become good mates off screen, as they love the banter. But yeah Neville is a very good pundit, no question about it.
Neville was always going to have to make a big effort to not come across as a United fan, to win over all the neutrals. As a player he wasn't particularly popular outside of United fans. So it just goes to show how good a pundit he has been, that despite most football fans disliking him during his playing career, he now gets a lot of plaudits. Most football fans would rank him as the best pundit on TV, and it's hard to argue. Carragher and Neville seem to work very well together. Apart from the accent pissing me off, Carragher is the only decent ex Liverpool pundit on TV. The worst pundits on TV are definitely Phil 'big nose' Thompson, Hansen, Shearer and Ray Wilkins
