I don't usually back it just watch with a pinch of salt smokey But today sees Sirius in a good position hence small bet plus Sirius was a few places and lengths in front of the favourite lto (I think)
My PP account is empty and i don't want to deposit owt in, but if anything i've backed comes in before the 4:40 i might just have to cover Sirius aswell and do rev fc with mine
Must be a fair animal to get the job done after ive posted on here. Travelled nicely, made hard work of it but was game and I think he would prefer nicer ground.
Stuck his neck out well Boris, very game. That MARSH HAWK is very nice, still green and lots more to come. LIGHTSCAMERAACTION missed the break today and never got to the front, I wont give up on him yet. We know the winner and I still couldnt back it!
Cheers Bustino, not sure what happened to Gibeon, never went a yard, after such a promising debut and considering the other hannon horse he beat went close, he should have been bang there. Seen so much of that kind of thing this flat season.
Still not betting but I think Marju's Quest will take some beating here and 2/1 looks more than fair. Was very impressed with him last time out, went really well for a 4YO and I'm sure he has much more to offer.
It is always a bit of a problem when you have to read the form the night before the meeting and you make selections based on the reported going and then the weather intervenes; however, what I was particularly aggrieved about with Newbury this afternoon is that the going had been reported as “Good to Firm (watered)” and a bit of rain turned that to “Good to Soft”. One of my selections was a non-runner because of the ground. When I went to the bookies at lunchtime, I shunned the second because the ground no longer favoured it but the favourite that I intended opposing (neither won) so I was reduced to just Balmoral Castle in the last, which had won on Good ground previously. When I saw the race I thought what a mess the track looked. So much for the pointless ‘canterdown’. The clerk of the course at Newbury should be taken out and shot. Watering plus rain illustrates his incompetence – the clerk of the course at Doncaster last week refused to water just to suit one horse, so why did this clown have the taps on? I may give tomorrow’s card a miss. I knew that I would not be backing my Ayr selection Squats as the 3/1 advertised on OddsChecker was derisory for the task in hand – if it had been trained at a small yard in North Yorkshire it would have been double those odds.
We'll see how good Jonjo is at getting a maiden a decent handicap mark - Petrovic in the 6.30 has had 3 runs in maiden hurdles and finished nowhere near, now makes his handicap debut off 92. Wouldn't be backing him myself though - watching brief.
It looked like they'd got that one lined up - came off the final bend travelling like the winner and has won comfortably. Nice job Jonjo, 10/1 SP . 134.
My neck of the woods Cracker - I live in a village a couple of miles from Croome Court. A beautiful place and great for taking the mutts for a nice long walk.
