All my Scottish friends on facebook are crying their eyes out <laugh><laugh><laugh>

Revenge. Revenge for that twit driving round in his stupid little car at 5.30pm with a megaphone on the roof shouting s*** slogans to bully people into voting for the "yes" campaign. During Pointless, I ask you?! Kind of ironic, now his efforts were clearly pointless <laugh>

Good point. But one question, is that a YES/NO to 'keep' or to 'boot'? A minor technicality, but one worth clarifying. <ok>

Did smile when Cameron, a man who looked like he'd been diagnosed with testicular cancer but then discovered a peanut in his pubes, said "the Scottish people have decided", when in reality around 1.6 million Scots don't like the decision made by around 2 million. I'm not entirely convinced democracy is correct, y'know.

To be fair, as it was always going to be tight, there was going to be half the country left upset whatever the eventuality. I think concluding with a victory for one side on such small margins is indeed, quite hard. BUT... I think it's fairer for the No vote in one respect. They already are part of the Union, so it should take a majority to want to leave to create that scenario. Really, the unfairness is also for the No vote, in that if one vote had decided things for the yes campaign the entire political culture would have changed by a difference of one measly vote... Pure democracy, or a bit nuts?

It is a bit strange when it's so split, yet the 2 potential outcomes lead to such different results. Never going to please everyone, but in this case it's a lot who are unhappy.
