http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/news/van-gaal-take-manchester-united-4282895 I agree with him, with the players we've got, we should be in it in the first attempt.
Will you still back him if he doesn't deliver a CL place for Utd this season? Or will you be calling for him to be sacked like you did with his predecessor at the end of last season? Moyes was slated by Woodward recently for costing Utd around £48m by failing to qualify, that figure would be surpassed this season should Utd miss out again. So should he go if you and Robben are wrong?
He seems capable enough Matth, but no doubt all the dippers will claim the complete opposite. Time will only tell
It refers to me as a dipper and a bastard, so it will get similar grief in return until it learns manners.
Anyway, on topic, Robben is right, we should be in the champions league next season, i reckon we'll finish 3rd this season.
North taffs are the most evil of all taffs, so anti English its unreal. Anyone fancy a day trip to Rhyl? back on topic Metth the dippers are scared, and they know their spot in the top 4 is under serious jeopardy.
Rhyl? The methadone holiday hotspot ? No thanks As for the dippers, they were absent from here from Saturday evening all through Sunday silently bemoaning Aston Villa's amazing luck, and QPR's collapse without even trying. And not even a Howard Webb to blame this time. The came that sensational win over one of Europe's Elite. Superb tactics from Brenda, he know all along the ref was going to give him a penalty in the last minute, part of the Anfailed tradition
I think he would have to be sacked if he doesn't make the CL, when you take into account all the ammunition he has now, thanks to all the money that's been spent. He also has the added advantage of only having the league to worry about, so all our players should be fresher than our rivals. I do however have faith that LVG will deliver a top 3 finish, to get automatic qualification. So I don't believe he will get the sack
Anyone who thinks van Gaal should be sacked if we don't get top four is a ****ing idiot. If we don't get top six at least though, i.e. improve, then maybe that's another matter. That's the only thing worth saying.
There is no reason why he can't take United to top four, which is his target. He has been given enough resources. And no doubt if United are struggling in January, more players will be brought in. Midfielders and defenders. The key thing will be the trajectory as they like to call it. Have United hit bottom and on the way up? If thats the case then I can see the GGs POSSIBLY having some patience with him. (the share price and income from shirt sales will be some key factors !!!!)
