Just looking at the names we had on Tuesday night, and which manager signed them (or first played them in first team, if a youngster coming through).

Of the 13 players actually used, 9 were signed under Cellino (or one of his coaches), the other 4 were relics from Colin's time.

None of Grayson' players are still in contention - but its 2 and a half years since he went, and Bates sold all the good ones anyway.

I was a b it surprised that not a single one of BM's signings was still in contention. Other than Wootton, on the bench and not used.

Perhaps that says something about both NW and BM? I am wondering if I was a bit too kind to BM, and a bit too quick to rubbish NW,

    whattayafink?

I've said my piece on this subject. Both those managers gave us the horn when we signed them. Most of us were chuffed to bits, but how quickly we became disillusioned. Warnock used us for his retirement plan and never arrived before Thursday. he used the board room stuff to suit himself and whatever he says he wasn't bothered about what happened. BMcD gave the impression that he knew what he was doing, he talked a great game and bigged up the fans and the fans adored him, even when things were going bad. We blamed bates and then GFH and then Cellino, but how any manager can go from 2nd to the worst ever form of any Leeds Utd team, and form that would have secured bottom place if the season had been longer. Twats both of them and both left us with a heritage of useless twats on big wages.

Sounds daft but I always associate Byram with one of Larry's squads. I know he started under McDermott/Colin but just feel like he's been in the first team for ages.

Excellent points doc. Can't help but feel in the fullness of time, most will realise how pitiful those managers were. Awful signings and tactics. Earned fortunes for their lame efforts as well

Though 4 of his signings are still good enough for us a apparently

I agree on NW josh but took me aback to see none of BMs decisions can get on the pitch any more

Byram isn't an NW signing, he is an academy graduate and I find it hard to give Warnock as much credit for that.
Pearce was somewhat useless under NW also, it was BM that made him solid last season and imo. was our second best player last season despite the amount of goals we conceded.

You've also got to remember NW spent almost 4m in transfer fees alone and then swapped Becchio for Morison (which was rated at 2m). And possibly BM's best signing Smith was just sold for a huge profit.
