... Hughes is a complete cnut and deserves to be reminded of that on Saturday!!! Despite it being an early kick off this should fuel the sort of atmosphere that will make it hard for Stoke. Added motivation is that we wouldntn’t have to see his smug face in a post-match interview after getting a result against us!! Time passing, questions about our current manager and current internal issues after the inexcusable away performances have I think meant not enough attention is being paid to what a dangerous and calamitous period Hughes oversaw with our club. He arrogantly promised we would never be in relegation position again under him. Then he was handed a wad of cash and teamed up with Kia Joorabchin to inflict upon us expensive flops; Bosingwa, Ji Sung Park, Cesar etc. Which instead of building and solidifying us in the premier league like any half decent manager with as much funds as he had ended up set us in reverse. With 4 points from 12 games, he sent us on way to relegation and into the position now where we are threatened with expulsion from league football That 5-0 loss against Swansea sticks in mind for me. We went into that season with so much optimism but instead he sent us on a path we haven’t fully recovered from. It was under Hughes that our image as a club was really scarred and I’m looking forward to taking the opportunity to make it known what I think of him
Disagree. I'd rather be cheering an excellent performance from my team than booing some bloke who is now history. But I think the atmosphere will be feisty, particularly if we play well.
Dont see why you separate these things. I'm not suggesting that i'm going to boo him for 90 minutes!!!! By this I mean ever tackle, every shot every chance will be cheered that much more. Every decision by the ref or corner taken by a Stoke player over by the R block will be met with a louder response from our fans So really i think you agree with me as this matches up with your comment
Agree. Make our feelings towards him known. But make it a hostile and intimidating atmosphere for his players - like it was against Chelsea when they couldn't cope
I was so lucky that I was at that game with my 2 sons. An amazing day! Hope I hear you Saturday and see and smell Stoke's fear. They been around though so I'm hoping Hughes being there helps get that job done.
Your a ore forgiving man than i am. I'm not able to have indifference to a manager who has had such a negative impact on our club and so recently Alhtough i'm not expecting at all the same level as that Chelsea game this is exactly what I meant
this could be a bad day if we lose.... and to be honest I can't see where our next goal is coming from hope we win well and I am proved 100% wrong.
No we most definitely cannot all agree on this! Hughes made mistakes in the transfer market, it wasn't intentional, it wasn't as if he was trying to get it wrong on purpose ffs. Now I agree his time was a disaster but he just wasn't the right fit for our club this does no take him cnut!!! thats just stereotypical macho football fan BS you are spouting. It's this sort of negative energy that could very well back fire come Saturday.
I don't hate him and I won't waste energy hurling abuse at him. Too busy cheering on the Mighty Hoops!!
I hope we as fans don't get side tracked into giving Hughes constant abuse during the game....I couldn't give a t**s about Hughes he is history, we move on. Just get behind the team, and try and create the same atmosphere as the PO semi against Wigan, boo and whistle their every touch of the ball, cheer the R's onwards at every opportunity..... C'mon U R's
OK mate, now don't hold back, if your going to make a new thread, tell us how you really feel about him. I'm hoping the 'Joke from Stoke' will shoot himself in the foot with his own tactics and walk away empty handed.
Agree totally, give the prick a torrid time & make HQ a loud, hostile environment! Yes he didn't intentionally get it wrong but he didn't take any responsibility for any of his piss poor decisions/signings.
