Nice one aber...I'm well thanks and back in love with football. OK, its league 1 but a nice end to last season and a cracking start to this one. You know yourself what a winning mentality does to the team and crowd so its all roses at A.G at the moment, even if it looks like a building site. Got to be honest, of all the names being thrown about at the moment I would prefer Pulis...been there and done it kind of manager and a S Wales boy as well.
I want Pulis but.......... Call me mental, looking at that list Alan Curbishley keeps standing out to me. His record is superb even though it has a 7 or 8 year gap, Charlton were a PL fixture under him (playing good football) and he left West Ham in an argument over transfer policy. He has mentioned a number of times he would take the right job if approached, but maybe he's just settled into the easy pundit life. Not sure what happened at Fulham but they were the only side which were more of a circus off the field than us last year.
Call me mad, but I would love to see Bellamy get the job. I'm surely the only one on here who thinks this, but we have the players, just appear to be lacking passion and drive, I think Bellamy could bring that. Maybe I AM mad, whoever comes in, I will back.
Can't understand why people want Lennon. He might have done well in Scotland but let's face it even ogs could have won the league with Celtic. OGS did well in his homeland and Lennon did well in jockland but neither had experience here which is what matters. Hartley is similarly unsuitable as is Bellamy for his lack of managerial experience. Sherwood isn't exactly experienced either so the managerial cupboard, while overflowing with candidates , is relatively sparse. Pulis would be ideal but won't come. My preferred choice would be Steve Clark because he did well at West Brom, was unfairly sacked and at least had the ability to organise a side and make the best of resources at his disposal.
Steve Clark would be fine. He might well work as a coach under a director of football as mentioned in the other thread if that is actually the plan. What I will say about Lennon is that Ole could not have got those performances against Barca out of that Celtic side. He certainly couldn't set up a team with that level of organisation.
Neil Lennon for me.....Cardiff have probably the strongest squad of players in the division, therefore most weeks will be playing weaker teams......same situation as Lennon had in SPL, and lets be honest he excelled there. His record against much better sides in the Champions League wasn't too shabby either.
Maybe the other Scot is more likely. http://www.eveningtelegraph.co.uk/s...ey-and-refuses-to-take-no-for-answer-1.583737
