No matter how obviously flawed it was, doesn't the Allam's having their own vote kind of **** up their argument?
.........and here's me thinking his legal team were going to screw the FA over with some kind of loophole/technicality. Roll on November and the end of this ridiculous, damaging episode.
For a man intent on pride and face saving he's not isn't very good at it. He'll be a even bigger laughing stocking when it's thrown out because he has no grounds for a appeal.
This also isn't about the football club being moved to another city and being renamed for that purpose.
Doesn't Allam have the right to apply again to change the name this season anyway even without getting the FA to say the FA decision-making process last time was wrong?
I would expect he does, but unless there's some material difference between the next and the previous submission, it can only go the same way. I would expect the FA to ask what the differences were, and screen it out at the first stage if they were not deemed adequate.
why's that then? does it say anywhere? just asking because accrington stanley does sound a bit like accrington stanley and clydebank does sound a bit like clydebank. admittedly these rebirths happened in and around the 1960s and rules have changed since, but do you have a reference i can check out?
I take it now that Allam can't state any bullshit about the "silent majority". Afterall, the dozy twat can't have it both ways. I'm beginning the question the mentality of not only Allam but also of those who can still support him.
Maybe there isn't a rule, I don't care enough to find out. Although it would be a massive coincidence that all the reformed teams in the modern area use a different name to their original (AFC Wimbledon, Darlington 1883, Aldershot Town, Chester, AFC Rusheden & Diamonds, Scarborough Athletic...etc).
On Thursday he said there wouldn't be another submission, of course he lies frequently so we can take that with a pinch of salt. His fan club would do well to remember what he's said though.
the most silly thing to come out of this will be the fact that when the FA Arbitration reject this, he will go to CAS and appeal it again
Cityswall - you keep saying 'if he has a valid point' of course he bloody doesn't, when has he ever? To even suggest that letting the fans point out the holes in his nonsense is unfair is just stupid. You come across desperate to find some loophole for Allam to exploit - but of course you're not pro name change.
My thoughts on the appeal http://www.hullcityindependent.net/?page=forum&forum_id=8&thread_id=19566&&selpage=90#97
fans are fickle. we start to win things and all willl be forgotten. fans know that without their input into the club, their ambition, their drive, we'd be going no where.
No wonder he talks so much about the "silent" majority, he's **** scared anyone should hear their views.
