This is more proof if needed that Allam does not understand Football

If you take his other business it would be similar to him deciding to change the output from his generators to the standard & then demanding that despite them not meeting the standards that the customers should change their boats to match his generators. Unfortunately his attitude to fans is also the same as it would be to his other customers, if you don't like it then go elsewhere....

Sorry Mr Allam, but that is the difference between fans who have an emotional attachment to their club & a customer who can just shop around (per my other thread)

I'm not arguing that point. My point is that jumping to the conclusion that the FA will just throw it out IF the Allams have a valid argument isn't what will happen or they FA will end up at CAS before they even leave the room.

I hope to god the FA HAVE been consistent but situations like the MK DONS have me slightly concerned as that was a precedent moment.

It wasn't a precedent moment it was a catastrophic error of judgement and will be used as a lesson to avoid similar catastrophes in the future.

Thank god for MK Dons as without it Allam may well have got his wish.

But it was a precedent moment.
The FA allowed a team to change name and move cities whilst keep their league standing and then said that it they won't let it happen again. I can't see how legally (This is the point) that stacks up.

    ^^^ This

The FA would have to prove the decisions they made regarding MK Dons were somehow unsuccessful or a failure, however MK Dons are financially stable, competitive in the football league and have excellent facilities, which would make it even harder to turn down a similar application.

Any precedent from the MKDons would most likely work in our favour, as it was dealt with differently and effectivelly not by the FA. They've learned from that mistake and adjusted their process accordingly, and it was that adjusted process that was applied here.

Allam is effectively admitting that the fans wouldn't want it, and he's saying fans shouldn't be asked because in his view, they don't count because they're not stakeholders in his eyes.

If he truly believed he had support, why wouldn't he want the fans input?

It's a Scooby-doo defence. "We'd have gotton away with it too if it hadn't been for those meddling kids". <laugh>

I am totally pissed off with the whole f**king thing I sit on the fence with the name change Im not bothered I will still support the shirt when it crosses the line on match day be it here on TV in Spain or when I come home to Hull , NOW I just wish he would sell up and F**K OFF before he does some real damage to the club.

The outcome of this appeal will do nothing but harm one way or the other, which ever way it goes.
TOTALLY PISSED OFF wish it would just go away so we can concentrate on what could be a great season for City once again.

The FA has probably not done it before because they probably did not have the vast quantity of e-mails from fans asking them to reject it

Legendary!! if I said things like LOL then I'd have to admit to LOLing.

(DMD, a no copyright situation I hope, as I may have to use that (with appropriate credit acknowledgement of course. Maybe.) )

I think you have a fair point on the subliminal messages. The deluge of tigers, tiger faces, claw marks, whiskers etc has actually persuaded some fans that they are actually tigers. FFS, we even have to go for a half time piss in either a bog called "Tigers" or "Tigress". And as such, with tigers being endangered species, it seems that any threat to their existance is being booed. Hence Monday night.

I've underestimated the old man. He's a genuis. Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.

The name change rules were introduced after the MK Dons situation, to make sure it didn't happen again.

What happened to the planned registration of a new team called Hull Tigers? Wasn't there a Cardiff fan doing this last year?

I know they were but saying 'It won't happen again' doesn't change the fact you DID let it happen in the first place does it?

The FA told the East Riding FA not to touch it.

If you change the rules to prevent it happening again, obviously it does.
