What's realistic for someone like Rossi or J-Martin this season? League Cup sub appearance or perhaps a loan spell? I do think it's a bit of a shame we don't link up more with the local non-leaguers like Grimsby and Lincoln.
I am in the west midlands so I can't get to the first game of the season which we all could truly enjoy....
Jordan Bowers, Striker for Aston Villa in the prem last season was pretty much in the pocket of Ben Clappison all night and looked impressive. Needs another loan this season in order to kick on.
Performance most pleasing aspect of Rotherham win for Tony Pennock… Academy Manager Tony Pennock praised the manner of the Under-21s performance following last night’s 2-0 win against Rotherham United. Jonathan Margetts’ second half brace saw the Tigers’ Development Squad get the defence of their Final Third Development League East Division title off to the perfect start at the Eon Visual Media Stadium. The young Tigers looked the better side throughout against a strong Rotherham side that included six of the Millers’ first-team squad in their starting line-up – much to the delight of Pennock. “I thought the boys got better as the game went on,” he said. “After the first 10-15 minutes, they got used to the pace of the game and started to pass the ball better and enjoyed good possession. “It was great to come away with the result but the performance was the most pleasing aspect of the night for me. “To see the boys perform at the level they did against a strong Rotherham side, which included a number of first-team players with plenty of Football League experience, was very pleasing. “When we saw the team that Rotherham were going to put out earlier in the day, we knew the boys were going to be in for a tough evening. “If we play against that calibre of opposition week in, week out in the Final Third Development League, then the boys will only learn and develop from the experience - win, lose or draw.” http://www.hullcitytigers.com/news/...ham-reaction-1925877.aspx#1D83hRoAmeTBKVF4.99
It was a good test last night tbf and pleasing to see the lads take such control of the game. Even when Rotherham did try to press City's composure on the ball was there for all to see.
