Good point, but I don't expect him to feature much in the first team this season. AllHell's point was that there are now so few British players in the first team.

I too have a problem with BH do think he's a greedy B and was one of CP's main acolytes and against Roland network etc.
Did warm abit to Jose have renewed my ST attended possibly every single home game at selhurst and upton park whilst also goin to every away game during that awful period in our history.
For me I support CAFC so choose to go to matches wether the regime is agreeable to me or not.
Though I fully support those who feel the need to not go to matches due to regime change etc.

Yesterday was 15973 with 1644 home fans – so 14,329 is moving us the right way. I think its very simple – win and more and more bums get on seats. Style is important but winning is everything. The rest, whilst interesting – foreign players etc – is commentary. We have about 40 thousand twitter followers – how many non-fans would follow us on Twitter? Total plucked out of the air number say 10 thousand and then consider that a significant number of our fans will not use twitter then (and I appreciate this is largely unscientific) I would argue the dormant support is comfortably there to get us back over 20k – but only if we win!

Personally - New kid, one wage, costs bit more than just the ticket to get there for me, only get the weekend really to see the little one, and so it has taken a back seat. But I do miss it. And will be back. No other reason.

First Time I have been to "back to back" games for many years and boro will be three in a row.purely down to the fact I enjoyed the match day experience against watford more than any time since 2006[including winning the third division a couple of years ago].

I'm yet to get in a pattern for attending games this season. I went on holiday later than usual and have been busier at work. Was disappointed to miss Saturday as its a stadium I'm yet to visit.

As many of you know my Uncle has had a box at your place for a long long time - last few seasons he has not been able to attract his clients to Charlton matchdays - last season he bought a box at The Emirates for corporate do's.
He still has his Charlton box, but has done away with the half time catering as it never gets used.

Saturday he could not give away places for the Arsenal v Spurs game - Invited over 35 clients and only 3 went - free food and beer all day yet no takers!!
For a game of that magnitude, I find that remarkable - A Millwall v Charlton or West Ham or Palace game, I would be able to shift places in a box 100 times over!!

It costs about £300 return to fly to Germany but if it was under a £100 I would. The German Clubs also deliberately undercharge tickets in as most clubs are locally owned by big companies. I cant see any our monied foreigners having any empathy with the locals in this Country to give them a discount. Ticket prices are outrageous but there is still a queue at the big clubs for ST's. The problem is more with the PL and its share of the telly pie.

Just being pedantic as I've come back from holiday and am seriously grumpy but Fred has just been stripped of his knighthood. Still gets to keep his £325,000 per year pension though.

I travel a lot, SIG, and there is never any set ticket prices for flights, unless you have a business arrangement with the individual company.

One day you can pick up single seats to Berlin for £18 quid, and then the next day they may have jumped to £150.

The uncertainty is not ideal for a season-ticket holder.

You can fly to cologne for £40 on a Saturday if you are very lucky and early but when you add up you have to get to Stanstead at 6.15 and then home again all within a Saturday it exceeds £100.
However, if you miss out the football an go to the paxcha niteclub/brothel in cologne on the 4.15pm flight and get the Sunday morning flight home from Bonn it will cost just 43.00 in flight. £280 in drink, £500 in gentleman's fees and amoxicillin of the online chemist for £23.00

Stan Collymorejuat retweeted an Exeter fan who pays £425 for a season ticket - the same amount as some premiership clubs. That's utter madness.

Germany have found a system and yet the clubs still find budget to attract some of the worlds best players.

Pea , I think if you or I went to pascha in Cologne then there is a better than even chance of me going blind or losing a limb. Even I , a veteran of 6 rugby tours on the continent, 3 Bangkok trips (and not pat pong one or two either but pat pong 6 and 7, (the midgets and the livestock shows) countless stag nights, two Vegas trips and one weekend in Blackpool prepared me for what I saw in the back room in Pascha.

Yep it's down to wanting to play the game, in Germany it attracts the purist, not the Johnny fill ya boots rubbish we get over here. In Germany football is considered to be a machine, and all parts must work, over here it's a pit stop for a passport and making immediate fortunes.
