News is that we are no longer interested in signing Nâgog (thank goodness!). Strange, as soon as we signed Wickham we lost interest in him. The question in my mind is âdid Liverpool take their eye off the ball when we stole in to sign Wickham?â It would appear to me that Liverpool dallied with the bidding for him because they thought we were still interested in signing Nâgog and had plenty of time to sign the supposed boyhood Liverpool supporter. Did Bruce / Quinn throw Liverpool a body swerve?
According to Dalglish we spent "way over the top" on Wickham.. But he didn't spend over the top on Carroll (hasn't he only played about 6 games due to injury??) and Henderson (Who we rate but £20m is a lot of money for a player we all wanted dropped after november last season) So we pay 8m up front for Wickham and that's OTT but he pays £55m (plus 20m+ for Suarez who, when he signed, was completely unproven in the PL) Maybe they just weren't willing to pay what he was worth??
"According to Dalglish we spent "way over the top" on Wickham" He's got to say that though hasn't he! Otherwise it looks like we shafted him.
yep certainly got our Hub Caps back of the scousers with that deal lol and they get to keep a car thats ****ing worthless in N'Gogg
If Dalglish really has said we overpaid for Wickham it will stink of sour grapes. 55m quid for Carroll and Jordan? What the **** is that then Kenny? We've paid 14m for Wickham, Larsson, Gardener, Won and Westwood? All 4 outfield players are as good and far more experienced than the 2 you have signed. Won maybe unknown but he is already a star of his national team? Pot? Kettle? Anyone?
i think he's just saying what he need's to to save face but come on even he must know he got robbed with carroll and henderson, since when did the northeast take over from liverpool for being robbing f***ers, 55 yes 55 million for 2 just above average players ok its potential that they are buying, but come on i can't see henderson turning into a game winning/changing player carroll may have abit more potential but his behavior off the pitch is far from squeaky clean is it and he hasn't set the world alight so far. next thing you know we will be taking bricks down to liverpool and coming back with car wheels.
If Mr Dalglish has indeed said that, then what does that say about his opinion of the lad ??? If I was young Wickham hearing that, by christ it would stir me up..I hope the lad goes after them like lunatic when we play em
