Unfortunately, the owner is rather too good at ridiculing himself, and as an exile, I can tell you, is widely regarded as "barking mad" outside of Hull
The reason why I have stopped contributing to this board, can be encapsulated by the title of this bollox....At best: school boyish.....At worst: provoking trouble
It wasn't a "we say yes" happy .. it was a case of "will that lot STFU and give up , what will be will be" .. CTWD are ridiculed in most places right now .. and not helping themselves, they could quite easily by putting out a carefully thought out statement distancing themselves from the chant, the vitriol etc towards the owner ... time for CTWD to show their backbone... do something for the good of the matchday experience ... as in tell the guys who have took it too far to calm down and support the lads on the pitch the name change is not about the matchday .. so keep the protests away from the matchday and get behind the lads ffs
I agree we'll keep our name but when all this is over we'll still have a **** fanbase. The Allam thing will go away in time but we'll always be the club whose fans booed its own name. You don't know what you're on about.
I think from your response that you haven't read or do not understand what I meant ... I do not support the booing but understand it .. I am neither pro or against in the whole "issue" ... what I have grown pissed off with is the fact CTWD and their members seem to think they are a cut above the rest .. the issue is like a forum , everyone is ENTITLED to their opinion .. during a matchday this has reached a head and now its time for a very well run group like CTWD to try and appease the situation with a very well drawn out statement , prove that they have not and do not want their members to rise to the bait (which a number on both sides did last night) .. it proves that they are above it and that their number 1 concern on matchdays is the team and how they do .. they carry a lot of power fan wise .. so lets see them use it to a positive way as far as the matchday environment goes , will get them a lot more "brownie points" so to speak than slagging off forum members and letting this carry on
They carry a lot of power over this situation with the fans that are involved ... Even if it does not work , it shows that they are thoughtful and want the best for the team on the pitch , disregarding the concerns they have off it Is it not worth a try by them ?
the silent majority has just texted me to say sorry for piping up on saturday, he'd like to point out that during the other outbreaks of "city til we die" chants he kept his mouth shut
They've already done this, more than once, I believe. Would you like to remove that bullet from your foot? The ones who sing CTID are generally the ones who offer the most support to the team, by singing everything else too. The boos around me in WU on Monday night was just about the first time those ****ing fannies have made any noise since the stadium was built.
As I have said many times , I just want the lads on the pitch to get the best support they can during the 90+ minutes .. Anything else can be dealt with away from the game ... and should be ... I would like to see CTWD come out with something showing what they really care about ,, is it the game on the pitch , or is it the name change ... Steve Bruce called for no protests during Mondays game , ignored ... so the challenge is now thrown, can CTWD be the "bigger" man" so to speak ..
From the Official Melton Tigers / Dramallam Poll 60% of voters failed to respond 17% backed the name change 16.9% voted against 4.1% just wanted an excuse to get out of the house 2% said the dog ate their ballot papers
Are you stupid or simply unable to read? Should I repeat my earlier response to this rubbish you keep spouting?
I sit in the North Stand and previously was in E3 and I booed last night. As stated because I am fed up of the protest about something that is not going to happen and the anti Allam campaign. Yes I am pro Allam and thats because of what he has done for us (ALL)
