Booing a song city fans have always sung Is stupid . Proud to say I never heard any booing from the best stand , the North Stand . The person responsabe for the booing IS Assem Allam ..not ctwd. He should have dropped the name change .
I was there. Tell me Chazz, what nearly ruined our season? I don't remember any issue that nearly ruined our season. Enlighten me...
Tell us what nearly happened. I can't remember what nearly happened. I can recall what did actually happen. Nothing. Were young twins traumatised and unable to sleep?
A small group of people stuck in the past and think they're all Superfans took an old and loved song, they turned into their battle anthem and their banner. At that point, it was not ours. It had been stolen. Last night the bullied masses, the people who've been going all their lives ,and are just as much a fan as anyone else, decided, uncoordinated, to tell the previously noisy and unchallenged minority to **** off. The reactions in all these threads is exactly what you'd expect from bullies. They love being the big I am, they love the attention, they love looking down on others and claiming to speak for them, but when the masses finally wake up and react, the bullies turn into the victims, and are all pitiful. Must suck that any attempts to muster mass support for CTWD have failed, marches not organised due to lack of interest, AGMs held in pub backrooms, yet last night it looked and felt like many more people have had enough, without any organisation. It was sad, but beautiful. It was finally, the masses saying enough is enough. Stop trying to bring our club down. Stop sniping at our owner. Just, stop it. Stop blaming everyone else, the fault for this lies fairly and squarely with CTWD and its affiliates.
Being uninterested is one thing, and playing silly buggers on here to try and wind people up, but to actively boo other fans for doing nothing more than singing a traditional Hull City song is utterly, utterly shameful. If this was a case of two valid opinions against each other it might be better but we all know it isn't. It's one side who have a proper argument backed up time and time again in public and on here, and another side who continue to disrupt for no obvious reason. There's still been no Hull Tigers argument put forward by anyone. They deserve no respect if they are out just to disrupt, and if it has come to booing at games then they can **** off. We're far better off without people like that. Booing at a game is never good but to boo your club, it's name, identity and loyal supporters is just totally unacceptable. These people will never 'get' what it means to be a City fan. Very true and that's another reason why it doesn't deserve respect. These people never once said we should change the name until Allam came out with it. Happy in fact spent the entire summer of 2013 trying to deny it was happening behind the scenes when some on here had inside info that it was and later to deny that it was Allam's idea. Only when it became public knowledge did Happy, presumably with no other option, decide that changing the name actually was a good idea all along. But he certainly isn't the only one. On day one it had no support, but over time some people have slowly sold out to Allam. Same as all the mad **** he's done, it gets slowlty forgotten about over time. No one cares about Barmby now except me it seems. If he spends money he can do what he wants with some City fans. I'm hoping to go to Newcastle. Chiefly because none of those types who boo their teams loyal supporters will be there and it'll be far more enjoyable than the farce of last night.
Oh I'm not. CTWD and its affiliates have made a fine art of exaggerating and blowing stuff out of all proportion. People in glass houses etc. I laughed all the way home last night at the reaction of some near me when they heard it. Gobsmacked, shocked and stunned. Was funny.
You arent thick so why be deliberately stupid. ****s ran on the pitch selfishly before the game finished in a me me me gesture. Prozzy ****ed up the penalty straight after it. We coulda lost that game through the actions of some ****s. So did you forget that or just banging on your usual drum of Europeans have flares loud songs stand up etc etc. Oh and the ****s were roundly boo'd by all four stands.
there is barely a Pro name change presence - we all know that However there are a heck of a lot of people who are prepared to back Allams plans for a couple of respectable reason - no matter how much we may not like the thought of Hull Tigers As has been said often , the only people who will engage with the anti Name change lot that vilify anyone prepared to listen to Allam are the lunatic fringe . These very quiet in their seat long time Hull City fans , that probably just want to support their local club , free of politics have a grumble or chuckle on the way home are the vary people scared away from people like urselves . wind it in a bit with the froth and you may get reasoned debate
I agree with Whittling Stick i am completely against the name change. However those boo's will not stop me singing City till I Die at every single game i ever go to, i won't just sing at 19:04 i will sing at numerous points through the game as my club is Hull City and always will be. If AA gets his way my club will be Hull City and the day after the name change would be the day the battle to change it back began. He won't kick me out of this club, and those boo'ing will not put me off singing. Chazz i did have a go at those who roundly had a go at Garcia as i would anyone having a go at a player during a game, and i boo'd those on the pitch as did pretty much everyone in the stands.
