The "Silent Majority" is just a term coined by our owner.

We're not insulting you on here, but I think the booing is atrocious. Sure, air your grievances/opinions, but to boo your fans for a chant or it's timing is stupidity. If people want to support Dr. Allam/Hull Tigers - chant your support - but don't boo. Rubs off on the players and management, and causes one hell of an awkward atmosphere.

In a nutshell - a billionaire owner and a cheeky bid, even if not realistic, for Neymar would increase club revenue and global coverage infinitly in comparisson to changing the name....**** it even an realistiv bid of 3 million and patty for Neymar would increase global awareness.

You need to go and learn how protest groups work. it doesn't matter if its bicycles, save the trees, campaigning for a school crossing patrol. Its always a minority who get of their arses and do something for the benefit of the majority.

Exactly. Allam only needs to look at Manchester City's model and see they haven't changed their name to, what was it? Manchester Hunters or whatever absurd suggestion Allam came up with last year. I know we don't own the KC, but that's nothing that getting suitable representatives from both sides (City & HCC) can't sort. Look where we've come in the last 2 years, and what's the name of the Club?

    Hull City A.F.C.

That what you've just mentioned (with Man City) is how we should be now. This should be the best time ever to be a Hull City fan, but we have this shadow hanging over us. The man who wants to take us forward is ruining the moment. That's the basis of it really.

CTWD was set up to fight the name change and has done so, it's members have now voted for it to become a supporters trust and that's now our aim. Rather than campaigning against the Allam's, we want to engage with the supporters as a whole and try to bring them together, not drive them further apart. There is a real risk of the division between the fans making it's way onto the pitch and that's not in the best interest of the club, it's supporters, or anyone else.

I have no doubt that there will be an Allam Out campaign, I suspect it will start at Newcastle on Saturday, but it will not be supported by CTWD.

I'd never heard of Anhzi until they bid £200m for Messi.

I'm not saying that at all. I'm saying Dr. Allam wants success, well we have to look at their model. They didn't need to change their name, or lie about what the name is (not and has never been Hull City Tigers), they've kept their name and heritage and moved into their swanky new stadium not soon after we did. Yes they do have the funds to go and buy whoever they want, but they're also building acadamies/buildings around the stadium's area for future success. THAT's what needs to happen - the owner needs to listen to fans, and note how Manchester City's owner has a close bond with the council.

Plus Neymar's worth about as much as a Spam Fritter and Chips... don't rate him at all. Give me Phil Jevons or Michael Reddy any day!

    Walton and Lewis for me.....

I don't think AA bothers with others business models it his or nothing unfortunatley - in a flippant way I was saying if AA just left the club alone and let it be a football business things might work. AA is rich but not rich enough to do what Citeh have done, for that you need billions not millions.

As has been said several times - instead of booing why don't the silent majority/minority do their own chant/song. Now judging by the outraged comments by those who are, shall I call them the traditionalists, I assume that those chants/songs would never be booed. or would we see double standards from the outraged minority/majority

OLM, I think CTWD should hang back with the statement, hopefully this isn't too late. The emotions from last night need to subside a little. I will use the old e-mail address later tonight to explain why and my thoughts on the future. For the rest of you please don't ask me to elaborate because I won't, sorry.

As one of these 'so called' prawn sandwichers(you can't actually get anything other than soup or a pie in the members bar, they don't do prawns), I'd just like to point out that you can't join the 'in-crowd' the corporate area is full and isn't taking new members, so they're pretty much the same people as last season and the season before that and the season before that etc etc etc

In fact, many of them are the same people who I saw in the corporate section at Boothferry Park(which was actually a large tent with pallets for a floor), so were there before the KC.

Anyone who expects the corporate area of any ground to be a singing section is a bloody idiot and I'm not particularly keen on these sweeping generalisations about who sits where. If you want a pissing contest on our respective Hull City supporting credentials, then we can have one, but I suspect you'll lose by quite some distance.

I'm worried the Taxman reads these posts. We declared (and paid tax on) tiny crowds in the rose tinted days of Fer Ark, but now there are thousands of people on this forum all of whom seemed to have been at every match since 1950.

Hope we don't get billed for the back tax.

Might be worth changing the club name to avoid it.

The proper Hull City fans should just chant louder and even more passionately. If the name change ever did go through, the passionate supporters who chant week in, week out would probably boycott all home games. Then the KC will be like a library, as the 'silent majority' wouldn't make any noise unless is requires booing their fellow fans. Why would they make any noise? They're the 'silent majority' after all...

I believe, that every hull tigers supporter, will at some point in their life win the Nigerian lottery.
I however will not, I'm not that gullible.
I will however be watching Hull City, whichever division we happen to be playing in. You see ,I'm a realist, and I realise no one has a divine right to play, year in year out in the top flight.
Some ex PL clubs may have crashed and burned, but most have done it with dignity .
