I wouldn't be *too* hasty with that. He's started very well (as have we). Here's hoping it continues.

Yep, season's been reduced to 3 games to give players a rest so we can win the next World Cup.

Technically SA could be right...Chambers could have a great season (after all he didn't specify with Saints).

Oh this is all super premature, just makes kinda fun, pleasant reading given our great start so far. I always said we'll be fine as long as Les was here. A smart man, not in the business of wrecking football clubs, who would have walked had this really been a demolition of the club.

I spent all summer telling you people you were panicking over nothing.

I am proud to say that I occasionally worried but never panicked. I think Joe does need stick about Pelle - but his response on the relegation topic was bang on.

Oh don't start that now! This isn't about who was right or wrong, it's about Archers having to streak across the pitch in May with a trumpet up his arse or some ****.

Its far to early to be overly confident about the new season, but I must admit to having felt pretty low at the height of the departures. Great credit must should to the owner, board and management team in re-shaping the club into what currently looks like a pretty useful team that hopefully will only get better with time?

Pelle's goals have been on a plate for him bar the West Ham goal, but he's still scoring. He may be fond out by the big clubs, but reckon he'll score against Arsenal as they can't defend from headers/set pieces.

Mmmm. I'm not saying he's going to be a rip-roaring success and I hadn't seen him play before, but lets not start with the "anyone could have scored/on a plate for him..." What was he doing in the positions when the ball arrived on his plate, casually walking his dog when a football rolled by?

This. And watch that West Ham goal again more carefully. On his weaker foot, hitting it on the half-volley. Better strikers have cocked up far easier chances than that. And the header against Newcastle, he still had to out-jump two defenders and place his header. The goals only looked easy because he made them look easy. Furthermore, his all round play has been excellent.

That was me coming on the pitch on Saturday disguised as a geordie. Unfortunately the stewards overpowered me before I could insert the trumpet.

Have they? It is a skill in its self to get into the right position to score.
