I think it's more the fact that it's annoying to be marked down in ratings when said players had good seasons. I don't think for 1 minute anyone is suggesting they're worried.
I give my son a game from time to time but surely a grown man can't sit playing it for hours? In fact I can hear Martin Tyler's voice coming from the man cave right now(I'm sat on the throne up stairs having a pre match Eartha Kit just so you know) he plays on it far too much.
