    You know the old saying do you know where you were when such and such happened ? So where were you on 13/12/97 when Franny scored? I was at a friends on Hayling Island. I know there is another thread on the subject but still well done to Franny on his great run. Just noticed I have spelt where wrong on the thread. Doh

    At that time I was living in the French Alps, and without an internet connection. It was a few days before I heard the result and the significance of who had scored.

    Truthfully, I didn't know anything about it until a few years later, when I returned to GB, and got into a pub conversation.

    Call youself a Saints fan and you didn't know that..?

    I think my excuse was a reasonable one. :)

    I was on holiday in Florida. Was sitting down at breakfast reading an English paper and saw it in black and white. Nearly choked !!!

    I was in Florida when we beat United 6-3. Couldn't believe it...virtually wrenched the paper from a stranger on a bus to read about it.
