Yep, he even followed his remark about giving it away with "Have I ever said something and gone back on it?" He quite clearly wasn't being sarcastic. To try and take the piss out of Burnsy for asking the question in order to worm his way out of the situation he put himself in by trying too hard is totally ridiculous, but not surprising. If we can only ever have a new owner when it's one he approves of then we're ****ed. The guy can't get along with anyone.

personally I hope that he doesnt get rid of the club if the name change isn't ratified. we can do a lot worse than someone with his ambition and drive.

On the forum yesterday some said they thought Allam is only going to make a case to the FA that the process which ended up with him losing was flawed in some way. He may not have known until recently that he could make this sort of objection to the decision.
