Not only that, he's got legs like tree trunks [which you may enjoy, Fran ], so he's powerful lad. Look back at the training photos on the OS.
Mane and rodriguez to come back makes this result all the more exciting. The only thing bad about today was the lack of real attacking options from the bench, but they'll both solve that. Pelle and Cork both impressed me immensely today.
Is it me or does Vic look a bit sharper? his passing seems a little more crisp, and he seems to look for the forward pass a bit more. Great sub to have.
Fantastic game and fantastic result! I do however feel for the Newcastle fans, Pardew never left his seat to even shout at or encourage his players enough. Barely moved. But three points ! COYR
Yeah, definitely. It's hard to fault any of our main 3 CMs so far this season. They've all been spectacular. Was great to see them all playing together too.
Hard as it is to believe, but perhaps we have a manager with a plan who is willing and able to use more than 11 players.
Yep, and although I'm not sure, I think that's the first time they have played together. Last season the conversation was generally about which pairing because there was considered to be no room for all three. They looked fine today. wanyama's introdution allowed Cork and Schneiderlin to get forward occasionally. Both took advantage. Cork was effective everywhere and Morgan was class.
Really not used to this. Isn't it nice!? Overall, wasn't today superb!? Topped off by that Newcastle fan slipping up on the pitch, and taking a few of the stewards with him :') Fraser Forster, what a commanding keeper. No worries with him in goal. Thought Toby look composed and controlled at the back, played with alongside the dependable Fonte and Gardos had a nice touch or 2. Clyne & Bertrand both got forward well, very impressed with them both. Schneiderlin and Cork in the middle ... been a huge fan of that for years. For god sake, sign him up!!! Pelle looked good up front, scored 2 very composed goals, and Tadic was a menace down the wing. That Schneiderlin goal though ... what a thing of beauty that was.
@RonaldKoeman: Fantastic 4-0 victory over Newcastle today. Proud of my team and all #SaintsFC fans @SouthamptonFC please log in to view this image
Schneiderlin goal a thing of (better than) beauty. What pleased me most however was the tactical bravery/intelligence shown by pushing Cork into areas rarely explored before. A good football day.
