To be fair, the majority of Dutch-speaking people sound arrogant to our ears when they speak English. It doesn't mean they are, it's just the way it sounds. It doesn't mean he's not, either....
I've worked with and for a number of Dutch over the years. They really are amazingly direct and to our ears rude and arrogant. Language must play a part, but I've talked to a few about it over beers and essentially they are just like that, and happy with it. Their English is usually so good they know the wishy washy way to express anything, but can't be bothered. I find it quiet refreshing, in small doses, because it frees me up to be equally direct. I like van Gaal, but hope he's got a few months to go before he gets it right with Utd.
Had a dream last night we won 1-3. Do think we might see Man U suddenly come good tomorrow and hammer us. Reality there are games we can win in this league and games we will lose. Man U away is not a game I'm expecting anything from. I do hope we put up a good fight though and give them a game.
I still can' believe the we have not bought strikers. We are in the Prem League with the lowest scoring record. Last season we said this is our weakest area. .....Oh well...
