Well done Alan Pardew, keep up the good work. I guess most Newcastle fans will want City to win to seal Pardew's departure. Ben Arfa can't play but if he shows his face to their fans that should be good for a wind up. Steve Bruce, you're going nowhere even if you are 8/1 3rd favourite to be the next Newcastle United manager.
Joking aside, I see that job as about the only one Brucie would be prepared to leave us for right now.
Hopefully SB sees Newcastle as too much of a rebuilding job with an unpredictable owner, but he's used to that. If this nonsense at our end gets sorted quickly he would surely be offered a new contract he couldn't turn down. He said if Allam goes his future here has to be in doubt.
Steve Bruce will be off like a shot if Newcastle come in for him, he'll be tearing his ****ing hair out after allam piped up again. He'll be itching to get away from this circus.
Are you serious? He's desperate for that job and he should he leave he can blame the uncertainty caused by the owner thus ensuring he remains a fans hero. Its the perfect situation for him.
I rekon there's too much pussyfooting going on in Pardew's training sessions. He's much more effective when he's laying the nut on someone.
Its the worse job in the Premiership. One defeat and the fans turn on you. No win situation up there. Do you honestly think Steve Bruce needs all the aggravation ? At City SB knows exactly who he is dealing with and what the realistic expectations are.
It crossed my mind on Friday, when he raised the spectre of his job being under threat. It was the first time I had ever heard even the most tenuous link to Bruce and the exit. Is there really that much of a link between a new chairman and a new manager (beyond the fact that most managers don't last too long these days)? If Pardew does go - who will Ashley go for? A manager like Moyes whose stock is down? or a local whose stock is up? Actually - has betting been suspended on Pardew? Just looked at Oddschecker, and they're only quoting Betvictor - normally there are more options than that.
I'd go if I was Bruce and it was offered. This guy is putting him in a difficult situation and how safe is his job if new owners come in. He would be offered a lucrative deal at Newcastle and despite fickle fans be given time to succeed.
I'm going next week. Should be fun and toxic at the same time. Hoping for a repeat of our usual result up there.
If Newcastle just sniff at taking Bruce, he will be off, he has a long history of leaving Clubs for better offers
I'm not sure the Allams are giving Bruce a hard time as they back his every move, it's just the timing of Newcastle's implosion and the rising stock of Bruce and his hometown club all coming together in a football match.. fireworks..
I think his experience at Sunderland has made him think more carefully now about doing that again. I just don't think SB will want to work with Ashley. I think Moyes is likely to be the one that will end up there.
