This is what you've been waiting for : The (un) Official Rankings for the Championship based on Oddschecker today : 1 W Ham 2 Leicester City 3 Birmingham 4 Reading 5 Middlesbrough 6 Nottingham Forest 7 Cardiff City 8 Southampton 9 Burnley 10 Leeds United 11 Blackpool 12 Ipswich Town 13 Brighton 14 Hull City 15 Portsmouth 16 Bristol City 17 Derby County 18 Millwall 19 Coventry City 20 Watford 21 Crystal Palace 22 Barnsley 23 Doncaster Rovers 24 Peterborough In many ways I would accept those placings right now! Your thoughts please
I think it's a disaster that they're not tipping us for the drop, because traditionally that is the Watford manager's biggest weapon. I'd take 20th now. But then again, I would have taken 20th last year, even though I knew we had a much better team than that.
Its a shame to see that once again we are low down the order. I am sure they take nothing into account other than money. We have proven that we are a dark horse in the league and it would be nice to see some faith in us!!! Lets get behind the golden boys and prove those guys wrong!!!!!
Like NNW, that worries me. Tipped for the drop seems to work in our favour much more. Let's hope after a dire pre-season the odds change! lol...or better still, let's hope that the team look amazing through the pre-season and we all think we can go higher than 14th this season!
Most i agree with, some I don't. I guess our postion is about right. I expect they'll look at our finishing position, then losing our manager and bringing in an inexperienced one, losing our top scorer and young player of the year, they expect us to drop a few mor places! Obvously a long way to go with regards to signings, but don't really see Southampton or Brighton as high as they are in this. I think Millwall will struggle, and unless Pompey sign quite a few places, they will be lower. I do think Middlesbrough will do well this season and a shout for an automatic spot, along with the obvious Birmingham and high-spending Leicester. Wouldn't mind Leeds struggling too....
Would have been happy with anywhere 15-20th but now change of manager, probability of players coming in I feel confident we can accomplish the same as last season if not higher. MS and TD have a lot take on their shoulders but I BELIEVE!!! we can do it. from a glass half full production
Must admit when I first saw the fixtures I was concerned with games leading up to xmas were all tough ones. I see no reason to change my opinion,if we finish 20th I'll be more than happy.......COYH,be in the top ten in the New Year
It's hard to pick out 3 teams for promotion and 3 teams for relegation - it really could be anyone. You can make a case for any team within reason.
I think Leeds will struggle. I know there is a long way to go in the transfer market they haven't signed any defenders and they were one of the highest conceders last season and have sold Schmeichel one of the best GK's in the league. Kilkenny has gone, Johnson i think is out of contract, Snodgrass attracting attention plus all their loan players have gone back. Would say the same about Cardiff but they have lots of money to spend if reports are accurate. Think the top 6 will be, Leicester, Birmingham, Middlesbrough, West Ham, Notts Forest, Burnley. In any order. My 3 to go down are - Peterborough, Crystal Palace and Doncaster
