Wow, what a small world, I was 16 at the time, they did have some great bands play there on a Monday night but Nazareth were a pile of ****e..
Yeah, He always said it was a top venue at the time, he was proud to have ran it. He was more of a soul man so spoke mainly of bands like Hot Chocolate playing there.
Must have been your Dad who threatened to chuck me and my mates out for repeating very loudly the 'Pheasant Plucker' tongue twister when we had too much to drink.

Worst was probably BROS at Whitley Bay ice rink. Didnt go cause I was a fan but my girlfriend at the time was a huge fan and wanted me to go with her, so I did and it was embarrassing. I did actually catch the drummers drum stick when he threw it into the crowd, I give it to the girlfriend obviously and lets just say I got some real appreciation from her in return. Played there about 3 times I think, pulled a bird in the Tavern next door once and took her in there to see them, best night I ever had. Hated Hot Chocolate but she was like a fekkin mint matchmaker between the sheets .. had a couple of days off work with sore knackers..
