And I repeat Wenger himself said we are short in the back, so you can once again f** off with your none stop spin jobbery. Mentioning other teams who may also be short in the back does not change the fact that we are too, but you're a ****ing moron.

Plenty of sources where Wenger himself has said we are short on defensive cover. But he placed more importance on the forward line, despite him saying that we had enough cover. The position that everyone was thinking we would strengthen was a CB and this was due to what Wenger was saying in press conferences.

We lost 3 defenders, Sagna, TV, Jenks, and brought in 2, Debuchy, Chambers, anyone that can do basic maths can see we are one short. You let go of 3, bring in 2.

    Pretty obvious you'd think.

Not that I think he's good enough but is there the option to recall Jenks if needed? Both Debuchy and Chambers can "do a job" at CB so having CJ as a back up RB is an option.

Edit: He's crocked isn't he? Damn Fat Sam.

It isn't as if we have no defenders at the club. The problem is that if we could get a better defender in as cover, it would be great. That is what Wenger means by short. The fact that the other top clubs in England are "short" as well, just goes to show how few CBs there are out there that are decent and willing to sit on the bench.

I really think the name calling is a bit childish. I realize someone that to take over for Kyle as the resident Chicken-Little, but could you learn a little from his story and stop with the insults.

    You started with the insults.

There are many many many CB's out there, most people weren't asking for Thiago Silva, there are more than enough good CB's out there that can be there for cover.

    No we didn't really.

Jenks went out because Bellerin came through. It seems to me he's overtaken Jenkinson and that's why Wenger has loaned him out.

Bit harsh. Until we see Bellerin playing EPL games we can't fairly compare the two. I doubt there's much between them tbh. What gets me is how long it's been since we last had a decent youth CB prospect.

That is ridiculous. Jenkinson has the experience of covering for Sagna for almost half a season at one point. No way did he get overtaken by Bellerin, he is just at a stage in his career where he'll expect more game time than Bellerin, so he is more marketable if the point comes to that.

we have watched alex song enough to know that he offers less than he actually
    brings.

He makes stupid forward runs and takes ages to get back .
Surprised that Barca even wanted him .
If anyone ever didnt have a "footballing brain "
    its Alex Song.

Article written on bellerin before the Besiktas games:

    http://metro.co.uk/2014/08/19/why-i...r-bellerin-his-big-chance-at-arsenal-4834880/

I do wonder if we will see him feature for the first team this season. Think we may see him in the league cup against Swansea?

Seems like Hayden, Akpom and Bellerin wil be prmoted to the first team. Also good to note that the aforementioned 3 were brilliant today in the U21s against Villa and Diaby played a full game as well and he was pretty good.
    Our Squad:
    GK: Szczęsny, Ospina, Martinez
    RB: Debuchy, Chambers, Bellerin
CB: Koscielny, Mertersacker, Chambers, Hayden, Monreal
    LB: Gibbs, Monreal, Flamini
    DM: Arteta, Flamini, Diaby, Coquelin
CM: Ramsey, Wilshere, Rosický, Diaby, Chamberlain, Zelalem
AM: Özil, Cazorla, Rosický, Wilshere, Ramsey
    RW: Sanchez, Walcott, Chamberlain, Gnabry
LW: Cazorla, Özil, Chamberlain, Campbell, Sanchez, Gnabry
ST: Welbeck, Giroud, Sanchez, Walcott, Sanogo, Akpom

Granted some of the players can play in multiple positions, we'll have injuries, and some are still fringe squad players but we have guys who can fill in all positions. I'd still like a DM and depending on Hayden's development maybe or maybe not to a 4th CB.

Monreal is not a bloody CB, he played there a few times, doesn't mean much in the long term.

Probably why I listed him as 5th choice emergency CB then.

Heard rumours Hayden isn't up to much but I've not seen to judge fairly. I'd still like to think we could have sourced a better third choice CB and given Chambers a chance to settle in slowly.

If we don't use him in the league cup/FA Cup games then Debuchy is going to be seriously burned out by the end of the season!
